No one started a thread about the super bowl commercials yet? Hmmm... must have been a good game! ;)

My favorite company had to be Budweiser. And I don't even like their beer. Their commercials were all generally good, and funny. The one which wasn't funny though was actually my favorite of the whole game. The Clydsdales and wagon traveling through the city, to get to New York and the missing towers was good on its own. The horses bowing in respect at the end of it made me cry. A wonderful touch- very respectful. One of the best commercials I've ever seen, I think.

Which was your favorite?

I don't know about the 'best' commercial, but I would have to say the Taco Bell commercials were the most convincing for me.

I was all the way in the other room, and I kept hearing Steak Quesadilla.......... <tummy grumbling>, and again with the commercial...

I am the proud new owner of the new steak quesadilla.
They're pretty good.

I was wondering where it was going ...

I liked the wireless belly button one
(AT&T wireless)

That one was good - very good. But sorry Cheyenne, mine was a bit less reverent. I didn't catch exactly what show the ad was for, but it was for a TV show with some wild muppet type things in it.. and featured a crazed bunny farting in the bathtub. I laughed so hard I missed the punchline! If anyone got it, please post it!

I loved the Clydes bowing. And the wireless one had me wondering, but I liked it too.

Was anyone else bothered by the Smirnoff Ice one? Would it have been funny if it was a bunch of white guys sitting around wondering how the loser black guys got into their video?

I laughed my ass off at the Bud one where the guy slid across the satin sheets and out the window.

The only commercial I really paid any attention to was the Budweiser Designated Driver one.

"Dude, where do you live anyway?"

I knew the commercial was going to be played during the SuperBowl but didn't know the content. Budweiser has the best marketing people when it comes to making big time statements in a commercial.

The Budweiser Commercial where the killer Battle Bot goes up against the small refrigerator,Then gets totally smashed,I really enjoyed that one. Also liked the Led Zepplin Cadillac Spot, Been a long time since I rock and rolled.

My vote would be a toss-up between the "I'm wearing the black teddy" one you liked, and the Cedric the Entertainer as Cyrano Debergerac Where they guy he's prompting thorugh a pickup gets a boot to the head.

The bowing Clydesdales was certainly the most moving. I teared up a bit for that one too.

I like the budweiser one with the Hawk and it getting beers. The horses bowing respect to NYC. The race care, dude where do you live anyways one. The I'm wearing the Black Teddy one. And there's another one or two, but can't think of them now. :(

I liked the bud one with the bowing clydes...
and the "black teddy / satin sheets/ flying through the window" one

did anyone else see the blockbuster video one with the guinea pig and the rabbit where the guinea pig was singing "I'm a maniac, maniac on the floor" and dancing. That was pretty cute....

Oh and the racing one with the track star lined up and the football player gets in the next lane, then the race horse, and they start racing and all the sudden they get passed by the nascar.... that was kinda cute too.

Oh ya, those are the 2 I was thinking of. Heh the guinea pig one was funny as hell.

Lol, Bud definitely had the best commercials, from all the funny ones mentioned, to the wonderful reverent Clydesdales. A good mix.

Maybe it's local only, but Quizno's had a couple of damn funny ones too...about having to choose a sub to eat...one had the pollster shooting a woman with a tranq dart, the other one had a little hand guillotine...hehe.

The farting bunny rabbit was for a new show coming out...looked like the Muppets on Acid or something! Ed the Wonder Bunny or something like that. He was actually sitting in a full sink of water...the punchline was the guy saying "Hey, my DISHES are in there!!"...ugh. :D

And...I swear, if I see Brittney one more time, I.will.fucking.puke!
Hehe.

I'm sorry, the Clydesdale commercial was blatant capitalization on the public's emotionalism towards NYC. And all to sell more beer. Budweiser has always had a swelled head about their place in the American market. They think they're the Guinness of the US.

I've been waiting for some time now for someone - anyone - to offer tribute, or even mention the losses sustained at the Pentagon in the 9/11 attacks.

And it was Greg the Bunny in the sink.

no no foxy, you've got it all wrong.
it's called a super bowl because a bunch of comic book heros get together and bowl for charity, then they smoke a bowl and have some cereal.

It has the same significance.

It's a football game where everyone watches the commercials and then suddenly realizes it's over and some team won!:)

I didn't watch any of it..

I wish I had just for the commercials, which I usually do. Does anyone know where I could go online to see the commercials...I tried Budweiser but they didn't have anything...

anyhow, if any one know a good link, let me know.

I liked the visa check card commerical with Kevin Bacon. And when they ask him for a form of ID. He gets 5 people to show his "5 steps to Kevin Bacon." to the desk clerk.
I laughed so hard!

I missed a degrees of seperation to Kevin Bacon reference?????????????

DAMN!!!!!

my family would be so disappointed in me.. they are always testing me on that one........... most can be done in 6 or less and over half use the movie "A Few Good Men" in them at the end. :D

You can vote on your favorites.

They say they use Quicktime and Flash to show them, but I didn't try to view any of them because my cnnections slow tonight.

Great site, WH! The Clydesdale commercial has 3 times as many votes as any other! :) That one is still my favorite. It said so much with no words at all.
