Hey there! I need the 411 on which toy to buy. I've already wasted my money on several that didn't live up to my expectations. I'm looking for POWER here!
Also, does anyone know which lotions are the "best tasting" and what about games to get the "party started" for those who are shy?
Thanks and Spanks!

2 powerful, can't go wrong toys are the Rabbit Pearl/Rabbit Habit (there are variations, just make sure you get one that takes 3 C batteries) and the Hitachi Magic Wand (major power, and get the G-spotter attachment which can be used internally or for clitoral stimulation). I've heard the Wahl 7-in-1 is great as well.

No clue on the lotions, but there was a sex games thread in here a few months ago, so try doing a search. There were some excellent suggestions on games and how to turn traditional ones into sex games.

Depends on the individual, I guess. I used to think that clitoral stimulators were the best all around, and they're still my favorite. But I've a girlfriend who does not care that much for them, unless she's being penetrated vaginally at the same time with a vibrator. (She loves the rabbit as a result!)

Another girlfriend likes to use a butt plug (something I can just not get used to!) but doesn't like much vaginal penetration by toys. Go figure.

What do you like?

Well, I have the 75 buck rabbit and I must say that I am a little disappointed. Maybe, I'm just not a toy person. Personally, I get more turned on by seeing myself and thy partner in the mirror! It just seems like he's getting a little tired! :p

I've also adored a vibrating bullet when it's right up on my gspot, and having clitoral stim at the same time.

Do you use your toys with a partner? That enhances my enjoyment by about 500%!

And I love the mirror with my partners too!. Hub and I have also enjoyed positioning a videocam strategically, and hooking it up to the tv, to give us instant feedback!

I'd say keep trying different toys when you're in different moods.

Just my $0.02

The rabbits vary widely, so you have to be careful. I'm on my second $15 rabbit (in 4 years) and I have yet to be disappointed, but I wouldn't pay $75 for it in any case. It does take a backseat to the Hitachi though (and at about $56 including shipping and 2 attachments, you can't go wrong considering you can use it as an actual massager if it doesn't work as a toy for you) !

Assuming that you are talking about the iVibe or similar (at that price), my wife and I are satisfied customers. We had purchased inexpensive vibrators in the past and had some fun right up to the point where they broke, which was not very long. I would like to know the brand name of the $15 rabbit that you like, as I'm sure our iVibe will fail at some point. Vibration is hard on electronics. I would think that a detached controller would last longer.

Okay, so in the interest of participating here's my 'Review' of the iVibe iRabbit. Before I'd even heard of it I started by googling for 'sex toy review' and 'vibrator review'. You'd be surprised how many hits that turns up, and a lot of online retailers have reviews. A lot of the reviews are positive, and we did find some negative reviews of other toys. There are some web sites that seem to review sex toys for a living (what a job), and I took the reviews from those sites with a grain of salt. I found several reviews from what appeared to be folks like us. It has been long enough ago that I no longer have any URLs.

Based on experience, we decided to pay extra for the brand name, and I went to the local "Adult Book Store" (heh) and asked the people that worked there if customers had complained about any brands. The manager was an older gal who showed me a more expensive brand ($115, if memory serves) and told me that it was junk and why, but that she'd had no complaints about the iVibes. She told me that she had never used one, but that they sold well. I liked her honesty.

It's been a big hit. My wife doesn't play with it solo, but does request it from time to time while we're playing together. The batteries and the controller are integrated into the base of the vibrator, and are not detachable. I like the size of the base because it is easy to keep a grip on when my wife starts squirming, but I can see where it would be a bit unwieldy for solo play. It has variable speed controls for vibration, rotation speed, and reversible rotation direction. It's hard to describe the rotation, but if you point your index finger strait out, bend it slightly, and then rotate your hand you'd have more or less the motion. My wife enjoys the setting that squirms back and forth. It seems to hit all the right spots.

It takes 3 AA batteries, but has plenty of power. The rabbit part of the vibrator right at the ears that go on the clit is very strong on its highest setting, which my wife doesn't like. She does like the weight of the bullet below the ears and likes to feel it pressed firmly against her.

We always remove the batteries after playing with it, so we don't have any corrosion problems. I have read a couple of reviews saying that the plastic beads that rotate in the shaft tend to disintegrate and cause failures, but I have yet to see that happen with ours (almost 2 yrs old). I have also read one review in particular where the owner said that the shaft broke after onle a couple of tries. It's jellie, so it needs extra cleaning.

Hope that helps!

Bitslinger, this is what I have:

My first one is a little better than my newest one (but the new one has a more powerful rotating shaft), and it still works after 4 years of heavy use, although the top of the controller broke off and the contacts are a little iffy. The new one is great too though, just a little less power on the rabbit ears, but I like A LOT of power. I get them in the mature audiences section of eBay (hidden in Everything Else). They're brand new, and as long as you buy from a seller who has a good feeback rating on lots of transactions, it's unlikely you'll have any problem.

I'll second the recommendation on the Hitachi Magic Wand!

Mine has survived for eight and a half years now, and still does an incredible job. Lots of power and well built, I think it's spoiled me. :D

I'd suggest a glass/pyrex dildo and a small powerful bullet. It's a combination that can be used in many different ways. You can get inexpensive double ended pyrex from Adam & Eve.

My favorite is my trusty plain bullet style vibrator. Anything that has good clit stimulation works well for me.

I really want a glass/pyrex dildo though and plan on getting one very soon. :)

The bullet I purchased was weak and a waste of my time. Maybe, I'm just not a toy person. I have tried them with a partner also. Still no fireworks. Guess I'll stick to the mirrors and other "kink" to get my kicks!

Oooooo, gotta go. Think I heard Santa's sleigh! Thanks for the input from you all. Keep it coming.

My wife really enjoys her Rabbit (it's an "i-Vibe" brand). For added fun, sometimes she'll rotate it around so the rabbit ears stimulate her asshole.

We also have a remote control "Oyster" which is fun. It's a clitoral stimulator with a wireless remote, which we got online from ButtonToys in the UK (yes, they shipped to us in the US). She was a little reluctant at first ("you want me to put what on?") but now enjoys it a lot. It doesn't bring about mindblowing orgasms for her, but it is a wonderful tease over the course of an evening.

BTW has anyone ever ordered from the Literotica toys site?

Hm. I'm really about to give up on anything battery-powered for anything other than a tease. Just doesn't do it for me. Of course, now some of you have me curious again. :D

I suppose a lot of the problem is that this, like everything, needs a certain degree of experimentation to find out what's good for *you*. Especially with so many things that sound similar, but end up being so variable, because of different manufacturing standards, etc.

I still love my Jelly vibe, but have found for a great full feeling i love my new Emporer Dong.

It is nice and thick 1 and 3/4 inch. I got it because I was considering a vibe as thick, but wanted to make sure I liked the size before investing the money into the vibe. I do need to use a bit of lube with it.

I love the taste of "Hot sex" Strawberry oil.

Does anyone have a good remote control vibe recomendation? I'm dying to try one with my partner.

The Emporer is great, it's hands free. The Purple Plunge Vibe is also great. It's only $25 and lasted for 1 yr. As for anal toys the Scorpio and the Little Pal's. goodvibes.com is a good place to start. They have a chart with the volume level and the intensity level of each toy.

I love g-spot vibes. That way, when you want to use a dildo, you just don't turn it on (I do that a lot, since I have a roommate and all), but when you want a vibe, it's right there.

A Chart? Really? Do share!

My SO love the "i-Vibe also....it sends her to the stars in 5 minutes or less every time...by herself..

If I am helping, it takes longer....because I like to tease....!

;)

Let me add to the original "wish list". My SO is somewhat small in diameter and we would like to find a glass dildo that feels good, but is not too big around. Any ideas, or experiences with glass products?

i suggest looking for the toy with a lawnmower pull start- that should be an indication of strength :) if it runs off diesel that might be an indicator too!

I just got the best thing ever from a sex toy party...

I can't link directly, but if you go to the Slumber Parties website, and click on Bedroom Accessories, my new B.O.B is the G-Wiz.

2 POWERFUL silver bullets in a jelly contraption that hits the clit and the g-spot.... I came in 45 seconds the first time i used it, and the sensation is intense! I'm in love!

How can 2 AA batteries power 2 bullets and be called powerful? I know that's a relative term, but I have a bullet that takes 2AA, and it's hardly powerful, so I don't understand how 2 AAs will make 2 bullets vibrate very well.

I just use my fingers. :p I'm too shy to buy sex toys!

Theres no way I'd go into a shop and my parents always seem to read my credit card bill before me......
