Best panties and why are they so?

Okay, I am baring it all. Literally. Because none of my panties seem to fit any more!

The best fitting panties I ever wore were Love Pats. They were a cheap, pretty much one size fits all, stretchy panty. They may have come in regular or plus sizes and I think they only came in pastels. They fit well because they were super stretchy!

At some point, I switched to Jockey For Her string bikinis. Those were great! But not cheap.

From there I ventured out to all kinds of panties. Various brands. Seemed I never had trouble with fit although once in a while I would get a pair that didn't seem cut right and maybe was too big or small.

Then I had a baby. My shape shifted a little or something. Not sure. For a while, I was able to wear the cheap Hanes, Hi Cuts. Then those started not fitting right.

I switched to Victoria's Secret, Hi Cuts. They were all fine except for the microfiber one. I loved the feel of them but they slid off like they'd been greased.

Then at some point, I started getting irritation from the elastic around the legs. I switched to Hanes Boy Shorts. Those were fine until about the third time I washed them. Then they'd slide right off. Apparently, washing stretched them.

I wound up buying some (Eek!) band bottomed granny briefs. Sooo very ugly but no irritation and they stayed up, until now. Now those too slide right off and if I am wearing tight yoga pants or leggings, those slide right off with them. Worse still is when the panties fall down but the pants don't. I'll be walking around and so will my panties, but they are marching to their own drummer.

I tried my old VS ones. Got a drawer full. They are rather old now. Some fit better than others but now they too are sliding off of me. Maybe the elastic is getting old?

I was at Costco today and picked up some Carol Hochman briefs. They appeared to be like the Love Pats. But no. I realized once I got them out of the package, they are very slippery. I did go down a size from what I was wearing. When I first put them on they are great! They fit well. Look good. But the minute I start moving, so do they! They roll down in the front. Oddly enough the back stays up and I don't have a big butt or big hips. So these are not going to do!

I just placed an order from K Mart online for some Jaclyn Smith panties on clearance. String bikinis, hipsters, bikinis, hi cuts and even a thong. The prices range from 75 cents a pair to $2.50 a pair. I have worn that brand before. Long ago. They were good then but I did have one pair that for some reason was far too huge. Mis-labled perhaps. I bought some in the size their size chart indicates and some in the next smaller size. I am hoping at least a few of these will fit and stay up.

My daughter was having similar problems. She finally switched to Torrid Boy Shorts. She said those stay up. We are both apple shaped but she has a more rounded butt than I do.

Help! I don't want to keep going around mooning people. Or maybe I do, but I shouldn't. I also don't want to pay a lot of money for panties in case they don't fit.

What brands/styles do you like? Thanks!

I prefer Victoria’s Secret second skin satin; it’s the most common in my panty drawer. However, I also wear crotchless elastene, leather thongs, and bikinis (comfortable)

I’m also not picky about colors either, but I like shiny metallics and flower prints over bland common colors.

It seems like your only option is commando.

I normally do but right now I am having an issue that requires me to wear panties. Some people here know about it but I'd just as soon not advertise it to all.

Thanks! I love all sorts of colors. And lucky, clothing is made better than it used to be.

Some years back it was quite common for pants to split at the crotch. So back then I used to match my panties to my pants.

These days that doesn't seem necessary but I do make sure they won't show through. I once wore some cords to work that were an odd, light color. Kind of an off-white with a hint of green. I had on panties with a wild, Hawaiian print. A coworker told me that I had nice panties. I had wrongly assumed that since the fabric was thick, I could get away with it. Nope.

Sliding off? This is a problem I've actually never had

Ape, like every guy I ever dated, would like me in something lace and skimpy. But what's comfortable is some full coverage cotton! Granny pants win most of the time.

Funny thing is, most of the guys I know like the cotton ones. Me? The prettier the better. love lace but cotton and microfiber sure seem more common.

Marks and Spencer’s cotton hi legs for everyday comfort...

Asda superhero briefs for silliness...

Lovehoney for sexier stuff...

Never had a problem with knickers slipping and my shape shifts depending my greed factor constantly...

I think my daughter and I are the only ones who have the slipping problem. I just took the damned things off. Or I should say, they took themselves off! I barely touched them and started rolling down. When I stepped out of them, they had formed a roll. I've had pantyhose do the same thing. Maybe I should lay off of the sugar scrub! Hehehe.

Cotton panties aren’t sexy enough for me, plus they make me sweat down there

Maybe you have a unique arse shape in your family...

Now that I think about it... My mom said she lost her panties in front of a golf course when she was pregnant with me.

I usually go to tjmaxx or marshals and grab a few different kind of whatever they have on the rack. They're low priced enough that if I don't like some, it's no big deal. But if I wear underwear, it's thongs more often than not, and I don't pay attention to brands. I do stay away from the microfiber- feels weird on my skin.

Whitey tighties from Walmart. Fancy underwear always seemed kinda stupid to me. There are so few situations where they'd matter. In public, can't see 'em. In the bed, don't want them. Walking around the house, either be nude or put some clothes on. This in between shit don't work for me.

Dolf....in granny panties.

*sigh*

sic transit gloria mundi...

Is this the cheap-ass underwear thread?

It’s like anything else, you get what you pay for. If you want underwear that is going to keep it’s shape and continue to fit well, or fit well to begin with, buy the good stuff and wash it as directed. That, however, will cost you more than Jockeys, but will last you a lifetime. Natori has always been my favorite.

That's because you're old :p
