Best Friend or Best Lover?

Which would you rather have:

To meet someone who is the best lover you've ever had (Or ever will have) and to keep that person as your lover for the rest of your life, but you can't really talk things over with them, or

That same person to be your best friend and soulmate for the rest of your life, but no sex?

I'd much rather have a freind, who is there when I need and when then need me. Someone I can tell aything to and they can tell me. and just mabey help me out when i'm haveing problems with my lover. (emotinal help)

I would have to choose the friend. I have such a person in my life. She is a really good friend I tell her all kinds of things. We have never made love. We Kissed about 12 yrs ago.

I will admit though that I would love to make love to her. We know so much about one another yet we have never done anything more than what I stated above.

Between having the best lover or the best friend...

I would definitely have to choose best friend. I find an emotional relationship far more satisfying than the physical aspects. Knowing that I've got just one person who loves me and is willing to be there for me is what fulfills me. The sex is totally secondary.

And also, the thought of a purely sexual relationship without any emotional connection doesn't appeal to me at all...I enjoy being able to trust the person, knowing about the person...making love to a whole person together with all their life and experiences, not just a body. A great deal of the pleasure I get from sex isn't from the physical, but from the emotional.

So I would definitely have to say best friend.
