VIDEO: CNBC Anchors Shocked When Real Life Gordon Gekko Says Vote Bernie

CNBC Wall Street Anchors shocked by the truth of economics? Maybe they cut class when the Velocity of Money was discussed in their Econ 101 class?

Asher Edelman, an investor who was one of the inspirations for the nefarious corporate raider Gordon Gekko in the movie "Wall Street," made a surprise presidential endorsement on CNBC's Fast Money last week.
Seeing the clip of him with Gabbard just makes me wish he'd name her as his running mate. I know they rarely, if ever do it in the primaries, but I bet it would just about guarantee him the nomination. Assuming of course she'd run with him.
That would have me voting democrat for the first time in around 30 years.

That would certainly help. I would be happier if she were POTUS and Bernie the VP.

A Message from Bernie

Dear BND,

What happened yesterday in Arizona should be considered a national disgrace. I got an email last night from a woman who waited five hours to vote in Arizona. Five hours.

We don't know how many thousands of people didn't get to cast their ballots yesterday in Arizona because they couldn't afford to wait that long. Scenes on cable news last night showed hundreds of people in line at 11:30pm in Phoenix – more than four hours after polls closed. Voting should not be this difficult.

One reason it is so hard to vote in Arizona is because the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act. There were 70 percent fewer polling places this year than in 2012 in Phoenix's county. They wouldn't have been allowed to cut those polling places if the Voting Rights Act was still in tact.

These cuts meant that, in a county with more than 4 million residents, there were just 60 polling places. This is unacceptable, but it's also not an isolated incident.

We need to make it easier to vote, not more difficult. One way we can do that is by reaffirming our support for the Voting Rights Act, which, when I am president, I will fight to reinstate.

Add your name to say you support reinstating the Voting Rights Act so we can make voting easier for everybody, not more difficult.

We cannot continue to see democracy undermined in the United States of America. Enough is enough.

Make no mistake: the billionaire class does not want Americans to vote. Billions of dollars are being funneled into our elections in a form of legalized bribery, even as American voters — especially minority voters — are being discouraged from voting. It is no wonder that government no longer works for ordinary Americans.

Above all, we need to remember the price that was paid for the right to vote. The Voting Rights Act was one of the great victories of the civil rights movement. Now, as then, change comes when the people demand it — in the voting booth, and on the streets in peaceful demonstrations. We must remind ourselves of what’s been achieved in the past, and resolve to do equally great things in the future. Democracy is not a spectator sport.

It is my sincere hope that the states that vote in the coming weeks and months do better than what we saw yesterday in Arizona. Too much is at stake for our future.

Right now, what we can do is show your support by adding your name to say you want to reinstate the Voting Rights Act. Click here to add your name.

No one said a political revolution would be easy. The billionaire class doesn't want to see our movement win, and so we must do everything we can to show them that we have the power.

In solidarity,

Bernie Sanders

Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton in virtual tie: poll

Mr. Sanders was at 49 percent in the Bloomberg Politics poll and Mrs. Clinton was at 48 percent.

Mrs. Clinton did lead Mr. Sanders by 3 points, 50 percent to 47 percent, among those who have yet to vote in a primary or caucus.

But Mr. Sanders outperformed Mrs. Clinton in head-to-head match-ups against the remaining Republican contenders, leading GOP front-runner Donald Trump by 24 points, Sen. Ted Cruz by 12 points, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich by 4 points.

Mrs. Clinton, meanwhile, led Mr. Trump by 18 points and led Mr. Cruz by 9 points. She trailed Mr. Kasich by 4 points.

Bernie Sanders Seizes 3 States, Sweeping Democratic Contests

Now bring those willing numbers to California!

Yep, if he takes all of the rest of the primaries with 75 percent of the vote, we have a horse race (and he would probably get some super delegates to switch over). 75 percent or better in the rest.

Wouldn't even matter. He wouldn't beat Hillary with 99% of the vote in all states.

Look at Washington. He got 72% of the vote, he only gets 23 delegates, Hillary gets 18 with 7 undecided.

Theoretically (R)odham should only be getting 12 delegates. Sanders 34....

(D) is far to corrupt to allow a legit candidate of the people......we will get Sachs Golden girl and we will like it.

That is the beauty of how un-democratic democrats really are.

You base this on what? If it's percentage I'd ask you look at where they got it cus Bernie's huge shut out was. . .Alaska.

Washington. They seem to just be getting more and more crooked in that state the longer I'm away from it. :(

Yea Alaska seems to be pretty honest about it.

Still...Sanders ain't getting the nomination with anything less than a monumental landslide victory.

I have little faith in (D) and think anything short of pitchforks and torches will result in us getting Sachs golden girl and we will like it because they paid to have Clinton in office and she doesn't get the popular vote then Wall St. will tell the DNC to fuck the voter right to the very edge of the law and they will.

She's going to say whatever she's got to and the day she takes oath she's going straight moderate Republican on us just like Obama.

Oh, but my stance is that Hillary may win dirty, but she's like WWE's Triple H. She stabbed you in the back because it was easier. Not because she wouldn't have won clean. I haven't checked today but last I checked Hillary had enough of a lead that if you took away her super delegates and let Bernie keep his she'd still be up.

I WANT Bernie. But I live in the real world. I wanted Rand or Kasich. . .and now I'm stuck between hoping the party big wigs fuck trump (and possibly win the election) or Trump and all that entails.

So, in a nutshell, the only Republican who might win the general election, Kasich, is the one guy who can't win the nomination and won't, period. :D

Still, let's not get complacent. Hillary or Bernie, both are still better than Fuse and Grump. It's likely to be Hillary, but Bernie's my preference. Either way, I'll back them against the GOP.

I respectfully disagree. If Hillary gets the nomination, it's another nightmare race like the past four elections, and I'll vote 3rd Party.

Frankly, we would be better off with a Republican than with Hillary, and I'll tell you why. With a Republican in the White House, many Democrats will scream and holler and dig in their heels every time that Republican president wants to start a new war, as many of them did under Bush and Cheney. But when Obama came into office, nearly every one of those Democrats became cheerleaders for the same policies they opposed under Bush/Cheney. I would much rather they scream and holler.

If Bernie can get all of Caliphornia's 475 delegates, it could fix the Nomination!

Is California a winner-take-all state on the Democratic side? If not, why aren't you laughing at your own comment?

If the turn out of hippies and dopers, peacenic and women lovers can tip the balance, California could send all thier delegates for Bernie. Long shot to mobilize all those slackers, but Hillary as CnC is pretty scary.

I hear ya...

I think even if Sandaz won clean, I think Hillary would just buy/lean on w/e with however many supers it took. Sanders can beat her in the popular vote and stands a good chance of doing that if the blue state trend continues.

But it won't be by the never before heard of landslide he's going to need to beat her big bucks.

I'd venture to say Santa Cruz north Sanders is going to fucking CRUSH Clinton....except Oakland.

L.A. and Daygo however are way more republican by comparison and that crowd has shown a LOT of support for Hillary this election. If the voter trends continue I doubt CA or NY will be landslide for either. Clinton might take CA but she might not.....I doubt Sanders will do well in NY.

What it really comes down to is will the 40 and younger crowd get out and outvote the cold war era Reagan Democrats. If the younger Gen X'ers and mellenials get out and vote in these deep blue bastions the way they have been Sanders could very well win the popular vote.

But not by nearly enough to get the delegates and thus the nomination.

California could only send all of their delegates for Bernie if California was a winner take all state (maybe it is; I don't know) or if Bernie took all or nearly all of the votes. This is Bernie's problem. He can't even win the rest 60/40 now and win. According to the stat people, he has to win 75/25.

I wonder that the Vegas odds makers are offering for the election results?

Does Dem primaries have winner takes all states at all?

Nope. That particular quirk is for better or worse limited to Republicans. I personally think proportioned is BETTER but I also think that's not how we run our elections.
