There was an attempt at a cover up. In order to keep Obama from looking like a blunderer, the Dems, including Susan Rice and Hillary and others, tried to claim the attack was spontaneous and grew out of a demonstration against a videotape somebody had made. It didn't work very long, because anybody with a brain could see the attack was carefully planned by people who were heavily armed with things like machine guns and RPG's, and this could not have been spontaneous.

If they do why aren't they covering up Benghazi and are instead blasting Hilary every time she wanders out? Why haven't they simply blacked out Trump. It's well within their power NOT to interview him. Hell they could do their jobs and invite some of the lesser known candidates on to get people informed.

In fact, the Sanders campaign noticed a glitch in the database two months ago and brought it to the DNC’s attention. The fact that the problem kept reoccurring and the blame was ultimately placed on the Sanders campaign is egregious to say the least.

Jeff Weaver, Sanders’ campaign manager, clarified why the blame should be placed on the DNC and the software vendor. ”

“Two months ago, shortly after our digital vendor that conducts modelling for our campaign told us that there was a failure in the firewall that prevents campaigns from seeing one another’s data. We contacted the DNC and told them about this failure,” Weaver said.

It was “dangerous incompetence, and it was our campaign that alerted them that the campaign data was being made available to other campaigns,” Weaver continued

Uretsky also defended himself by mentioning his transparency through the entire situation.

“The breach was in no way our fault. I saw it and attempted to investigate and attempted to do it in a transparent manner,” Uretsky told ABC News. “To my knowledge, we did not take anything out of the system it was in and did not gain anything out of it. We saw a security breach and we tried to assess it and understand it.”

So two months ago Burnie's guy told the DNC about this? So if Burnie could see her data, she must have been able to see his, but she didn't tell the DNC?

Well, Sanders is suing the DNC for blocking access.
What I can't figure out is why a campaign is storing any sensitive information on a *NC server. Given how common server access fuckups are it seems pretty careless to me.

If the Clinton camp was able to see and access Bernie's entries into VAN, and it's not guaranteed that they could just because Bernie's access did not have the firewall up, the DNC that provides access through NGP VAN and the folks at NGP VAN would be able to see that. They would know which person's log in was used and what they were doing.

I am 100% certain that they have. VAN is used up and down the entire democratic ticket and this is a huge screw up for them. They are going to want to know if the firewall was down between any other democratic primary campaigns.

Any candidate that signs up for VAN gets custom access for the race they are running, and each log in for staffers and volunteers is also customized for what they can do and or see in VAN.

Yeah, more or less what I've read. Also that they were the ones who reported the problem to the DNC and intentionally left bread crumbs of what they did. Not sure how accurate that last is since a good system would log activity and those logs wouldn't be accessible to anyone but system administrators.
I also read that this is the first time there have been issues with security.

Three weeks from the start of primary season in the US, Bernie Sanders has scored his first lead over frontrunner Hillary Clinton in the Iowa caucus, the first contest in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

The results of poll released on Tuesday by the independent Quinnipiac University found that the Vermont Senator is drawing 49 percent support among likely Democratic voters, compared with Clinton's 44 percent and former Maryland governor Martin O'Malley's 4 percent. The latest survey showed an abrupt reversal of fortunes for the top two Democratic candidates from a December 15 poll that had Clinton leading Sanders in Iowa 51-40.
