Days before the 2020 presidential election, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) says Democrats are the “party of the coastal elites.”

During an interview with Seth Meyers, Sanders admitted that Democrats represent the interests of the nation’s billionaires who are concentrated in Washington, D.C., New York City, and Los Angeles.

“But I think for many, many years the Democratic Party has not paid the kind of attention to working-class needs that they should’ve,” Sanders continued. “And that has a lot to do with who funds campaigns, etc.”

It serves as a reminder that Biden and Harris are leading the far left down the garden path. If in power, when it comes to the crunch Biden will probably do what Tony Blair did in the UK -give succour to the left but ultimately disappoint them with what turned out to be a fairly sensible centre-left agenda.

That is probably true. It's a fact not lost on Lincoln group Republicans or others who feel that Trump's dishonesty is dangerous for the country in spite of the fact that he is the head piece of the GOP.

Biden-Harris are not even close to being socialists, or even democratic socialists like Bernie. They aren’t even close to being “far left” either. Personally, I’m ok with that, as I think a good moderate administration is the only chance we have at tamping down some of the dangerous rhetoric and political polarization of the country. I would suspect a significant majority of liberal Americans would prefer a bit more progressive platform, but are more than willing to support moderates like Biden and Harris to bring back a bit of rational, sound leadership.
