Benevolent tentacle monster?

So, you have the porn stories where some kind of alien rapes and impregnates/enslaves/converts some unsuspecting woman, which I do happen to be a huge fan of, but I got to thinking, what if the tentacle monster was a good guy? Maybe he's trying to stop some kind of evil alien or monster from taking over the world or something, so he infects a girl with the intention to help her fight the bad guy aliens.

Not sure exactly how this might work, maybe he gives her some kind of immunity or quick healing or something, or just the ability to see who she can trust and whose been turned. Right now it's just the beginning of an idea.

Nice, I've only seen this twice before (X-Files episode and Inyasha) compared to all the cliche storylines out there.

Now we have to figure out why he does this, is it for the girl's sake or the creature's pleasure.
Maybe the alien started doing this for himself (is possessed masturbation considered sex?), and then there was some evil threat that only he could fight (the half demon girl scenario).

Could be as simple as some sort of proxy war going on between two groups of aliens (they could be different kinds of aliens/demons, or just different factions from the same group). For whatever reason, they don't want to act directly, so they're taking a relatively low-key approach.

For benefits to the girl, I'm thinking things like faster reflexes and maybe some regeneration (I'm going for the "Tendrils weaving their way through her body" school of tentacle rape/posession). Whether she's still pissed off at the alien or not for what he did to her could be fun to explore too.

I like the superpowers idea, but the alien parasite must have some kind of vulnerability like Metalo's Kryptonite heart has to lead.

Being around Earthlings who don't believe aliens could walk among us undetected, could be an advantage in some kind of cosmic war.
Human hosts were chosen for the perfect cover, since we probably are the least superior beings in our galaxy, but that begs the question, why this galaxy?
