I think so too. Also, I learned to call it oriental dance, a there is much more than the sensual dances to it. Old village dances, which may involve men as well, and stick dances take model from old men's spear dances.

After dancing for some years, even performing - it still is. Finding the right muscles can be difficult, and even after finding them you need to practise to make them fit.
