It's always been a sometime custom in ye olde Author's Hangout to celebrate the season by sharing with others useful or entertaining web sites or other cyber dainties, and so I'd like to suggest three:

--> A hypercube is a mathematical projection of a 4-dimensional cube in 3 dimensions. On this site it's further reduced to a 2-D perspective drawing, but it's still a pretty amazing object. You can drag on the hypercube to rotate it/transform it through time and get some idea of what a 4-dimensional object might look like in our own limited 3 dimensions.

I like this because I've always been curious as to whether the human mind is really powerful enough to understand everything in the universe, or whether there are some things that will always be beyond our intuitive grasp. It's hard to think of things we can't imagine, but the world of mathematics is full of them, of which this hypercube is a particularly fine example:

Hypercube

--> My second gift is only a toy but a good one. A musical toy that makes anyone a musician:

Musical Matrix

Both gifts came to me from StumbleUpon, which in itself is yet another gift.

So a belated Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Chappy Hanukkah, and Righteous Kwanzaa to all...

Thank you, Sir.
A fascinating bunch of toys. The hyper-cube is very thought-provoking.
