Any news? I've been wondering, worrying and hoping.
Cat
You're a sweetheart.
Well, the other day there were 3 text messages on my phone, and one phone call that woke me up. A cat similar to Mia was out in the parking lot right now! Trousers on, running out with catfood in one hand and keys in the other... Here, kitty, kitty, kitty...
A very hungry kitty comes up to me, but it's not Mia. It's a white and grey cat. Mia's grey and black. I pet the cat and go back in to call the text messagers back. One of them reads that she has caught a cat, and wants me to come and get it. I call the person up, and she tells me that she left it with her friend as she had to go out in the evening, (and for some reason didn't want the cat to be alone?) but her friend had a cat that didn't go to well with the found cat (yep, sounds like Mia, except with Mia it's more a case of "and the owner's cat got shred to pieces by Mia), so the friend LET THE CAT BACK OUT!!!
Le sigh.
However, upon a closer description, it became clear that the cat most likely wasn't Mia but the little white-and-grey cat I had snuggled with a few minutes earlier.
The second message regarded a cat with a necklace = not Mia, and the third was from the paper boy/girl, who had seen a cat near the parking lot, which probably makes it the white-and-grey cat AGAIN...
Earlier, people called me all the time about the poor grey cat with the leopard necklace 300 meters away from here, now they're calling about White And Grey. Perhaps the owners of Leopard Necklace has gotten tired of people trying to catch their cat to give to me, and so they're keeping him inside until Mia's been caught and this ordeal is over..?
I'm waiting for bad weather and cold air, which might make Mia loose her interest in living in the great outdoors. Then I might be able to make her come to me by following mum's idea of sitting down and doing nothing for a few hours, so the damned cat will feel like SHE's the one taking the initiative to approach ME. Ofcourse, this plan also involves quite a few open tins of tuna standing around me.
