Ladies and gentlemen of lit....lets see what our beverage of choice is....
I'm putting down major brands, reply with your favorite type.

I personally go between Zeikenboch (a Texas beer) and Chimay a wonderful Belgiun import.

Killians Red
Tuborg Classic (Danish beer)
Tuborg Christmas brew (Danish beer)
Corona

Other....

It really depends on my mood and the cash I have available. I normally get Coors light b/c its cheap (reasonably) and I like it. If I have the money I love bud and bud light, or if I'm going really expensive, Sam Adams. If I'm in the mood to just relax with the beer or if I'm eating the right type of food, give me a dark beer like Guiness or Michelob Amber Bock or some of Sam Adams'. If I'm at a party, then its normally Bush Light for me. I try to stay away from High life and high life light. Rolling Rock is good if its really fresh, but gets skunked very easy. Jim Dundee's Honey Brown just doesn't do it for me anymore. Killians Irish Red if I they've got it on tap is great. A true black and tan with Guiness and Bass pale ale is incredible off tap. Though Michelobs black and tan is pretty good too. I've also had Pete's wicked ale, good. Dixie Voodoo crimson ale...very good. Steel Reserve...7.5% alcohol...when you just wanna get drunk.

I prefer draught to bottles to cans but I normally get cans, just easier to deal with and can recycle them.

Your thoughts?

I only drink Whiskey, Crown Royal is my drink of choice, straight with a 7-UP chaser. Sometimes I'll drink whiskey sours.

you forgot Bass you lamo :)

With a limit of only 10 choices I picked what I thought were the most common. I've only ever seen Bass in a few bars that I go to. I also could have put many others such as:

Dixie Crimson Voodoo ale
Pete's Wicked Ale
Corona
Rolling Rock
Pabst Blue Ribbon
Milwakee's Best
Sapparo
Sierra Nevada
or any one of a multitude of lesser known companies...sorry

very cool site.

God, don't you EVER stop harassing people?

Best domestic beer: either Anchor Steam from San Francisco, or Henry Weinhard's (sp?)--I can't find HW anywhere near where I live, so I've forgotten how to spell it!

Best non-US beer: Probably Harp from Ireland, or AUTHENTIC Kirin from Japan (not the Anheuser-Busch swill they produce here in the U.S.)

Just my 'humble' opinion.

You guys have no idea what real beer is

Well Hanns, I understand that the European world does not consider american beer to be beer. However, I have never traveled outside the states other than Canada...Please enlighten us.

We have a great new independent pub here where I live in Denmark, where there have some great beers from many different breweries in Europe, and a lot of cask ales as well.

Some of my favorite beers there are:

König Ludwig Dunkel
BLANCHE de NAMUR

You can see a few pictures from the pub that I frequent here
