I came of age in the late 60s/early 70s, when body hair was a form of social expression. Several of the women I was with during that period were quite hairy with a full bush, armpit hair and hairy legs. When I met my wife she even cultivated a few long nipple hairs that a previous boyfriend had found disgusting.
Sadly, social pressures and professional expectations have caused my wife to take to the razor with the exception of her bush and, for a few months in the Winter, her armpits.

Sounds like you were a fan of the full hairy look? Out of curiosity are you based in the US or UK?
I came of age a bit later than you- mid 70's + living in London often saw women at the time with hairy legs + though not so obvious as they weren't on show so much hairy pits. Not many women, but every day in summer I'd see at least a few women with unshaved legs- from fine blonde hair to quite thick dark hair.. Going to tourist/arty places such as Camden Lock or Covent Garden + there would also be European visitors with plenty of visible body hair. How times change!
Remember when I worked in west London in the 80's, that early in the decade there was a shop that had lots of ads for homes/jobs in Polish + there would be all these young women, virtually all with hairy legs. But within a couple of years there was a complete cultural change + every one had shaved/waxed legs.
At the end of the 70's I was at university in the north. When I started there in 77 my landlady, a young mother about 30, had fairly hairy legs. A year or so later I remember her coming down to the living room in her dressing gown to watch TV + was shocked to see her legs were now hairless. Never saw them hairy again. A similar story with quite a few of my fellow female students. It was like a domino effect- as a couple of them removed their leg hair so other women followed suit until it became a real rarity. Not one of them ever returned to the hairy look once they shaved the first time.
Fortunately in the 80's I did manage a few flings with women with full bush, hairy pits + legs. My current partner has never shaved her pits or bush but used to shave her legs until she found out my predilection for them. In 20 years she has shaved them only a handful of times, but does keep them covered- the hair is dark + plentiful below the knees.
Otherwise I hardly ever see any female body hair these days other than on the internet. Europe is now a hair free zone (at least with legs/pits) + the only pleasure now is seeing some lovely fuzzy arms, though sadly even these are often depilated!
Ironically I think leg/pit hair is now more common in a couple of places in the US, like the Seattle area.
Despite loving hairy women from an early age since I've had any sexual thoughts (+even before I had heard of sex at a tender young age) I guess sexual interests also modify with personal experiences. Remember feeling sad when women I had known being hairy started shaving but then I would start imagining them in a bath or shower and shaving off their fuzz + then began to get aroused by that. So now I still love hairy women- particularly have a liking for hairy legs yet am also turned on by seeing them being shaved if hairy or pretty stubbly. One of my favourite fantasies is seeing a pretty hirsute woman shaving (or better still being shaved) her legs, but always love it to grow back!
Guess my ideal is a woman who never shaves/trims pubes or pits + shaves legs 2 or 3 times a year. Fortunately the internet can provide everything these days (almost).
