Gel Foam and Temper-pedic mattresses

I doubt this thread will live long but hopefully you all can answer a question for me.
All the new mattresses that are solid foam are getting really popular.
Has anyone had sex on one?


I'm expected to sell these damn things and I had a couple of newlyweds asking for them the other day. I've never slept on one but from what I can tell they're like very dense mud. No bounce at all.
Help me out here. Do I sell it with a clear conscious or do I guide them gently away?

You've never slept on one, so you have no personal experience. The couple wants one. Sell away. Your conscience has other things to be cluttered with.

you're as mercenary as I am! I have to be able to answer questions here.
If any group of people can be relied on to tell it like it is I think ya'll are it.
What little feedback I've heard is all about how it 'sleeps' and that's 50/50. Just rolling around on it I think the floor would be better!

Let them test drive it. Then it's on them.

Um, you may want to stipulate the terms and limits of the test drive prior to it taking place...

We have one in the Monkey's house...you're right, there is no bounce...but the advantage is that there is no squeak or creak of springs or frame...I don't like it personally...

My cousin has one, so I asked . She said that the sex could be difficult, because the mattress does sink around you - it works if you don't bounce. But if you want to bounce around, then it doesn't quite do the trick.

For what it's worth, I've slept in her bed (just sleep, get your minds out of the gutter, pervs!) and I was knocked out cold - something that I rarely do (terrible sleeper). If all they want is to sleep, then it's a good choice. Horizontal tango? Not so much, according to my cousin.
