Perg.......
yer back and are well.....
good to 'see' you......
Hey Perg.. How was your trip?
Pretty amazing. I did a lot of medicine stuff and saw a country ravaged and yet somehow still full of hope. Really incredible.
Were you there when the 6.6 or something that one hit as well?
Nope. I felt a minor aftershock but nothing serious. Just a tremor.
Winter McKinley Feb 2010 (3/9/10 cont.) The weather is cold, -25F (-32 C), with blowing snow. The wind is constant and variable (from all directions) gusts of 30mph (48 km/h) estimated. The conditions are true “Whiteout”. They are rationing their fuel. Food stocks are fine. The menu is simple. Coffee and/or Tea, Salmon Strips, Mashed Potatoe...s w/Butter, and Salami. There are powdered Citrus like drinks too. Sunrise 7:47AM. Sunset 6:50PM.
Why can't people leave Billy Buckner alone?
you beat me to it
Hope they have enough to weather the storm and make it up and down safely.
Thanks. Great to be back, and tonight seems to be one of those nights when a lot of cool people are posting. Good for the soul.Good to see you back, Perg.
Me too.
Otherwise, this will end badly.

Yes. Frostbite at a minimum. Hope, also, they don't run out of fuel for the stove(s).
Thanks, Fala. Know that you are not at all beneath my radar.Perg, even some of us on the outer edge have been keeping you in our thoughts. Glad you are back and safe.![]()
I dunno mountain weather, but the temp is dropping in the Susitna Valley. And I see another storm moving in. It's gotta suck up there.
Sounds like it. It's early season for that arctic bastard of a mountain right now.
It's been just above 0°F in the morning and fine abrasive snow has been coming down. I'm sending some guys north in the morning to -35°F wind chill. They'll have a picnic compared to folk on the mountain.
Yeah, it will be sucking bad up there right now. Your guys testing The Suit? Mine's in the storage unit, buried, for now.
I lent it to a friend for a bit and he loved it.......I think he and his wife will be buying one each.
I'm bound for the lower Yukon in a weekish, so I'll use it. I used it yesterday out in the fucking wind at +5 folling the snowblower around. It was DAMN nice.
That's good to hear. I may be doing a Presidential traverse later this month. Thinking about trying it up there, where the weather is as bad as your area.
Or at least talk to people who have talked to people who have thought about touching something near the sky.I love reading this thread. Through you guys I get to touch the sky.
Be careful about overdressing. The thing does get pretty warm, or it could be the lining in mine.
