Thanks.
justgem said:this drives me nuts.... i do use shorthand when typing here and in chat rooms and i dont know y this sticks out at me so much but it does....so, fyi:
to = going to, or to do etc.....
two = the number
too = as well as...also
there = something is there, its over there.....
their = belonging to, it is their car
they're = they're coming over, they're happy
the biggest one that is used over and over is to and too....
*huffs and gets down from the soapbox feeling she has served mankind.*
no offense,

I just avoid it all together!
Of course you say "It's hers" if it IS hers. You don't say "The troll took it's own life."Problem Child said:For instance, you don't say it's her's, but you do say it's Lukky's.
Maybe I'm not following you, but what you said seems wrong.

Damn, I was HOPING people understood there's never a 'postrophe in her's. Another illusion shattered.

Freya2 said:If it's meaning "it is", you use an apostrophe before the "s". If it's used as a pronoun - ie: (regarding a book) "its' pages", you use it afterwards.
God, now I'm confused and I think that's totally wrong.
