Bebop Remembered (closed for Kuu)

Faye: Revised

How many years? One, two, three... there was no telling. It had been a long time since Spike had left the ship that day and had never returned. She didn't know what had happened to him and after days turned into weeks, weeks into years, she knew he wasn't coming back.

Jet had disbanned the Beepob disappearing among the endless abyss of space. Ed and Eein had darted off into the desert in search of her essentric father. And therefore leaving Faye to face herself alone...

After learning of her past she now knew she had to face a lonely future. Currently which brought her to this scrap yard in search of parts for her small ship. She had been in space alone for far too long. Still the ever present bounty hunter, she made a handsome living withouth a full crew the money managed to stay in her pockets more often then not. But she couldn't help reminesing about the old days.

Shaking her mind of all thoughts she had to keep a sharp head. Currently she was stalking her prey, in an old shipyard she had spotted her next target. He was too busy retrofitting an old military ship that he hadn't noticed Faye sneaking up from behind.

By the time she reached him it was too late, a gun was shoved unceremoniously in the small of his back as she held him around the neck. "Make any sudden movements and my gun might go off." She looked at the ship licking her lips. This would do, most definately. "When will the ship be finished?" she questioned.

Jack Serin had at the last moment heard her footsteps. As such, he had touched a control in his hand, and the ship's guns trained themselves on both of them. He hadn't expected anyone to try to steal his ship, but he wasn't about to let them have it. When he heard a woman's voice, he raised an eyebrow, and her question confused him for a moment. He shrugged, then looked at the ship. "Depends on who's asking and why."

"Faye Valentine... I'm looking for a sterdy ship. I need to find someone." she said leaving it at that. She looked around noting the ships guns. He had balls that was good to know but she didn't care. If they both had to go so be it. "Look I can pay you if that's what you want. But I it will have to be in increments."

Jack raised an eyebrow, then pressed the control again, and the guns rose into the ship, the hatches covering them sliding back into place. The ship was ex military, but he had had to scrounge for parts. His father would be proud of him. He waited for her to let him go, then turned to look at her, and his jaw just about hit the floor. She was utterly gorgeous, and the outfit she was wearing accentuated every curve.

Faye let out a soft sigh removing the gun and stashing it away. Standing casually in his presence she noticed him take in her features which she chose that moment to do with him. Very much appriciative. She smirked and pulled out a cig and lite it. "So...what's your price?" she asked sensually. "I got a little cash saved up in my casino account." She informed but gave no further detail. Taking another drag of her cig she let out a billow of smoke then flicked the cig to the ground stomping it out.

Jack raised an eyebrow, then turned away. "She's not for sale, miss." He went about finishing his repairs, having to do some wiring and installing the navigation computer.

Faye purred unapprovingly at the man's tone but figured she have to bargin for the piece of metal if she planned to get any part of it. "Fine. Then I'll service you as the maintenance man if you allow me to use this ship. I really must find someone and my old hover craft isn't what it used to be. I'll let you use the parts to my craft as partical payment. You stay on board with me until I find my friend and I'll pay the rest of the fee after my mission is complete." she said.

Jack shook his head. "This ship isn't for sale. It's my personal ship. However, if you need a pilot, then you can come with me." He let it go at that, as he had just finished the wiring. He started up the ramp into the ship, planning on testing every system before liftoff.

"Fair enough." Faye said and stepped on board after him. "I'm trying to get to Venus. The last time I saw my friend he was there." She said taking a seat she crossed her legs lazily over the other making herself right at home...as was usual for her.

Jack went about his last minute diagnostics and startup checks. He sat in the captain's chair, glancing over the readouts. So far, so good. His mind turned back to his guest. She was hot, no doubt about it. But she looked kind of unreliable.

Faye was sitting lopsided in her chair looking at all the equipment this puppy had. It was impressive. It was by this time she caught the man's eye and smiled. "Something on your mind, cowboy?" she questioned and sat up straight noting that they were just about ready to take off.

Jack raised an eyebrow, then considered. He shrugged, deciding there was nothing worth telling her on his mind. Once everything checked out, he started the engines, lifting the ship off of the ground and hovering for a few seconds, before moving out of the shipyards.

The silence between them was interesting to which Faye had not reason to disturb so situated herself in her seat until lift off. Once they were under way she left her sat idly in her seat looking out into space. She wondered if he were out there or not. If any of them were out there, truth be told she wanted to know where they were...all of them. How were they doing? Damn but she felt lonely.

Once they were under way, Jack set the autopilot, then stretched, and stood up. "I suppose I'd better show you to your room." He started towards the back of the vessel, where the cabins were.

Faye nodded getting out of her seat and following behind him. "So um... where'd you learn to fix ships like this?" she asked making for small talk though she could care less either way. She took in the man's features and just realized that she hadn't asked his name. "Didn't get your name earlier?"

Jack smiled. "My father used to be an engineer on military vessels. That's where I got this old bird. I'm Jack, by the way. Jack Serin." He led her to a spacious cabin across the hall from his, complete with showers.

She smiled nodding, "Sounds like a good man." she commented and stepped into her cabin to take in the surroundings. Whistling she flopped on the bed and laid out lazily on her stomach. "Where you from?" she asked curiously, her legs propped up behind her on the bed.

Jack grinned at the question. "That's a bit difficult. I was born on a spaceship, actually. The Gallant. My father was an engineer, my mother was the first officer. It made for an interesting life."

"I suppose it would." she stated simply, rolling over. She watched him with her green eyes and licked her lips a bit. So you got any house rules I should know about." The last ship she'd been on had lots of strange rules and a lot of weird occurances but she had loads of fun being with the Bebop crew.

Jack shrugged, standing in the doorway. "Not really. Just don't try to mess with any of the ship's systems, and we'll be fine." He watched her, wondering why he felt like bending her over the bed and stuffing her.

"With all the experience you have with ships you'd think that you'd work on the cooling system. Its rather hot in here." she said fanning herself absently. The gesture only caused her shirt to open and close her breasts bouncing at the movement.

Jack raised an eyebrow. "It's 65 degrees in here. Perfect temperature." He had had to fix the cooling and heating system when he overhauled the engine. Still, he enjoyed the bouncing of her breasts as she fanned herself.

"Well I must be sick... " she commented and stood to her feet. "Out with you I need to take a shower." she said and pushed him out the door closing the door behind him. With him gone she felt a lot better, how many years had she been without the company of a man? Too long and him standing above her like that only made the temptation on bareable. Slipping from her suit she went to wash up in the showers, humming softly to herself.

Jack nodded, then sighed. Why was she affecting him like that? He decided that he, like her, needed a shower. He headed into his quarters, which were across the hall. He stepped inside, closed the door, but didn't lock it, and started to get undressed. He quickly stripped of his clothes, then stepped into his bathroom. He left this door open, not expecting anyone to walk in on him. He turned on the shower, waiting for the water to get to the right temperature, then stepped under it. He just stood there for a few minutes, soaking up the warmth of the water. He needed to relax, having a woman on board wasn't going to change anything. Well, not physically, anyways.
