Beautiful Things

I know you meant this to be a beautiful picture thread. I must say nothing is more beautiful than a beautiful mind body and soul. Without passion no picture can exist.

I can't remember either, but yes, the other parts of the exhibit are also amazing. This one just touches me, no sirhugs, not in a sexual way, more of a spiritual thing I think.

This has been bugging me for days! The exhibit was so breathtaking. My brain has been stuck on "Fire and Ice", which wasn't the name of the exhibition. That's Game of Thrones (not just an art nerd, what can I say?). The exhibit was called "Ashes and Snow". Some beautiful photography and film! The artists name is Gregory Colbert. He has a website, www.gregorycolbert.com !!! The tiny laptop screen isn't as encompassing as the walk through exhibit on the Santa Monica pier, under a big tent. But, I can see many of the images again! My favorites were the ones with the birds. The boy with the falcon wings spread behind him. The series with the gal on the stairs, and the bird flying over her. Ugg, too many awesome images to pick one. (Sorry, on the iPad, it's not behaving to copy/paste web addresses of the images. They are part of a slideshow)

Thanks for the flashback :)

Thank you for sharing this link, I am lost in the gorgeousness.

You bet! I was equally lost. Didn't accomplish much at work. Downloaded a bunch of the pictures and made a screensaver folder. Then put the computer in screensaver mode, to watch the pretty pictures.

They would then be creating more of a *disasterpiece* than a work of art!

I hardly think that's the case. Clearly, you have many facets. And a good artist will capture that. Embody that. And judging by your profile picture, a great start in the looks department! ;)
