If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."
Morgaine Le Fay have endeared themselves to all lovers of rocking great music. Featuring the talents of
Jamie Snider: Fiddle, guitar, vocals
October Browne: Mandolin, guitar, vocals
Pat O'Gorman: Bagpipes, whistle, flute
Rachel Melas: Bass guitar

Morgaine Le Fay was formed by October Browne, Jamie Snider and Pat O'Gorman in 1992 over many cups of tea in October's kitchen. After the departure of percussionist Andy Stochansky, Howard Gaul joined the group in 1994, and the group became a quintet in 1997 with the addition of bassist Rachel Melas. Their CD "Up She Flew", self-produced and distributed, was released in 1997. The band has performed many of the major music festivals in Canada, including The Winnipeg Folk Festival; The Dawson City Music Festival; Folk on the Rocks, Yellowknife, NWT; Harrison Festival of the Arts, Harrison, BC; The Frostbite Festival, Whitehorse, The Yukon; Blueskies Festival, Clarendon, Ontario and FrancoFolies, Montreal to name a few. The band was also featured on CBC Radio's "Morningside" and "Heartland". Steeped in tradition, yet impatient with boundaries, Morgaine Le Fay's music has a passionate intensity that can evoke the beauty of an east coast seascape or the organized confusion of big city life.
