Nicole it is the whole authority thing. Giving control over to the other person, whoever they are or are pretending to be. Giving it up to the one you trust most, someone who will never hurt you for real. Only guide you, and punish you, make you understand right and wrong. By doing this, giving them the control, you are giving it up for yourself. That way, whatever happens isn't you, it wasn't your choice so cannot be wrong.

I don't think I'd have aproblem with being called "Daddy" but I think it would depend on the person, the way it was said, and a lot of other factors I wouldn't recognise until I encountered them.
