BDSM vs. RAPE stories

Its only a suggestion, I hope rape stories will be separated from BDSM stories. I know that both of it was highly relevant but BDSM archives was the largest collection in literotica if I were not mistaken.

To be honest, most of my favorite stories in Literotica involves forced sexual encounter and I found it very hard to sort out rape stories from plain BDSM archives.

There are two separate categories for them. Non-consent/reluctance and BDSM. I think the confusion comes in because generally, the Powers That Be allow the writer to place the story in either category, and for some people, rape fantasies are very deeply entwined in their BDSM fantasies. So they may write a story that they feel goes under BDSM that another feels should be under Non-consent. I say generally, because sometimes there is some disagreement where a story belongs. Case in point: DVS mentioned in his Raw Anal Lust thread that Lit had placed a few segments in a different section then he had submitted them for. IIRC eventually, they got it straightened out. Or we can use me for an example. I felt that my story, "to catch a thief" was clearly BDSM because the protagonist had a clear choice. She could have a night of scary sex or her victim could call the police, and she chose the sex. The implied threat of the police was then used as an instrument of control. I said BDSM, Lit said Non-consent, and I eventually pulled the submission which now appears on another site.

So you aren't alone in having this problem!! I haven't had it personally, though some have been rejected as just too much for Lit, but I tried to help someone who had submitted one in BDSM genre before only to have Lit place it in Lesbian sex based on the notion it fit that category more because it was a female Domme, female sub storyline. The storyline was definately about submission etc., but the F/f relationship saw it moved. Strange.

Yup, I had that problem, and I had enough on my plate that I didn't feel like arguing with the Powers That Be so I just decided to pull mine. A PM-er asked if I was "sure" that DVS had had an issue too, so I was forced to scan through his raw anal lust thread and find the posts in question. Thanks PMer, now I need another shower....

Quite frankly Lit is a royal pain in the ass to put stories in. I only put a few of mine here, before I got tired of fighting them, and made a yahoo group (see my sig) just for my stories to go on. My stuff is also on www.eroticstories.com, but that's a pay site, and I don't want people to have to pay to read my stories.

I have several friends, from eroticstories.com, who refuse to put their stories on lit cause it's such a pain.

I, personally, wish they'd seperate reluctance from non consent. *shrugs*
