BDSM/Sex Shop in NYC

I know this might be a ridiculous question because I am sure there are 5000 sex shops, but I have no idea how to find the good ones over the bad. Or it seems there are some that are for males only.

If anyone knows any, I would appreciate your tips.

I am just purchasing lube, i know i could go to a drug store but He asked me to go to a sex shop and just look around as well.

if you check out over by christphoer/6thave/gay street you'll find a bunch interlaced with the hack piercing shops. Those tend to be geared toward the leatherdaddy type community but they are the closes things you get to "bdsm" shops. Sex shops in general are plentiful in NYC, there's the places i mentioned, purple passions, or if you want a more girl friendly store, babes in toyland is good...
