A few weeks ago I had a BDSM story rejected by Literotica. I posted an offer in the 'Story Feedback' section to anyone who would like a copy and received about a hundred requests. I've had a mixed bag of responses from those who've read the story, some agreeing the story was too brutal for posting, some saying it was ok as it was and yet others getting the point of the story I had intended.
As I wrote in the thread offering a copy I have no argument whatsoever with the Literotica folks having rejected the story. But I’m trying to ‘set’ my compass as it were so I don’t delve too far into the dark side again.
I'm not asking for an editor to look at the story with the end goal being 'cleaning it up' for reposting but more one of a different perspective. I'd like someone who's not only familiar with the genre of BDSM storytelling but someone who is an author and/or an editor as well. I feel someone who has these attributes can provide the kind of feedback I’m seeking.
I'm the first to admit the story is hard on the main character but think the Sadism overshadowed the point of the story. To me the story is about life’s disappointments and regret, followed by an innocent’s unexpected ordeal of kidnapping, abuse and degradation but ultimately one of hope, retribution and figurative rebirth.
So if anyone feels up to reading a story of right at 42,000 words and providing honest feedback I’d appreciate it very much.
Thanks and regards,
BilyumQ
