BDSM Poll: Is this Action Hot... Or Not?

The last thread was so interesting I just had to do another.

It's hard to find pictures that are not obviously one thing or another but I think I've got a small handful that may fit that category.

This is a poll for whether you find the action going on in the photo hot or not. I know it's hard sometimes to find an idea or action hot if it is not being modeled by individuals you find sexy and when it is not aesthetically pleasing, but I fear if I selected one that had too much of either of those things, people might like it (or dislike it) simply because it looks pretty, not because of what is going on in it. Like the other thread, comment if you want to, but you don't have to. All votes are anonymous, unless of course you speak up and tell us what you voted--so have fun voting and watching the poll even if you don't want to comment!

I'll write back some to people who post comments because they've been awfully interesting, but as with the other thread, I'm not going to chat too much about the image, since I'm the thread starter and I don't want to influence the voting accidentally. As with the first voting thread, however, I did try hard to choose one that wasn't universally hot or universally not hot, nor univerally boring, I hope, but the votes will tell, I suppose.

S'Ok! It _is_ kind of dark. Here's what I see: a man is sitting in a chair. Naked woman is kneeling in front of him, her profile to him, her arms outstretched, palms facing down. He looks like he is hitting the tops of her hands with a crop.

Wonder if I could lighten it up? Ok, I could with my magic "enhance photo" button in paint sho pro. It's less mysterious looking this way, but that's better than so obscure that you can't see what's going on.

I think the picture is contemporary, DVS, in fact I know it is. Not sure why the guy looks the way he does. My tastes seem to run contrary to a lot of people's here: I think he's kind of hot, but I believe I think that's simply because he looks a lot like someone I used to know and have a crush on.

I agree that the girl is sexy. I like her expression. The hands thing is curious to me. When I hear about hands being hit, like in the traditional scene of the teacher with the ruler, it's usually the palms that get the punishment, not the tops.

For a shot that contrived, I would expect better focus... and I'm not just speaking of the models.

Nothin' wrong with the scenario, though. I would have enjoyed it more had it been an older man with a cleaner cut appearance. It's hard to picture this guy as the authority figure I assume they aiming for in his current get-up with the rockstar hairdo. Also, I think the expression on her face is a little out of place considering the situation.

I'm being shallow, though, which is what you are trying to avoid... and I do think there is potential... so I'm gonna take it or leave it for now.

Nothing to apologize for! I want people to vote and comment, and you did both. I'm not posting my favorite images in these polls, I'm trying to find stuff that's conversation bait, although this recent image may be a little tame for that purpose. We'll see.

Helene, I agree with you: the woman's expression is quite incongruous to the situation. That's one of the things I liked about the picture.

I do like the guy's expression though, precisely because of what onceburned said: calm and concentrated.

Rockstar?!? Is that what rockstars look like these days?, this old "grannie" asks. In my day, Junior, all the _real_ Rock Stars used hairspray.

To me the guy looks like he completely forgot to get his hair cut .. for about four years. Like he walked out of a cave or a monastary to instantly become an full-blown bdsm master...probably because of his enlightenment.

On the negative side, just about everything about him. I don't see him as calm and focused, but rather as perhaps partly stoned (half-closed eyes), which I don't approve of. His posture, leaning back negligently, annoys me - if one is correcting an errant pyl, the PYL should be paying attention. Seems to me he's just wasting a little time and amusing himself by punishing her. And he's got waaaay too much hair

Good question. 'Twas just the impression I got from the pic. Could have been recreational, but I would still expect him to show more attentiveness to what he's doing, rather than lounging back in his chair, casually wielding his implement.
