An interesting convo I'm having with someone on another forum, who claimed BDSM is rape, and when I challenged him on that, he posted this follow up.

I don't know anything about BDSM?
BDSM- Bondage, Dominance, Sadism, Masochism
If you pay attention rape victims, some has been handcuffed or chained or gagged and that is Bondage
Dominance is rarely seen in rape cases, only in kidnappings though
Sadism is usually done with rituals, common with the people that think they are vampires
Masochism it you look at the definition of masochism

Masochism
1. The deriving of sexual gratification, or the tendency to derive sexual gratification, from being physically or emotionally abused.
2. The deriving of pleasure, or the tendency to derive pleasure, from being humiliated or mistreated, either by another or by oneself.
3. A willingness or tendency to subject oneself to unpleasant or trying experiences.
The first definition basically means that it can just be a phase in their sexual exploration and then they find out years later that they have done more harm than good
The second definition sounds alot like bondage right? not really, bondage as what I listed is mostly putting your victim in submission and getting sexually aroused by someone that can't get out of a tough situation. and the definition states that insults and anything that could be considered humiliating it doesn't do anything but making you want more like a crack fiend
The third definition doesn't have anything related to rape but, when a person tries those new experiences that are unpleasant they will notice maybe a few years later about never doing it and hold some kind of regret yet they choose not to express it even though they are feeling bad about it

That was pretty much my basic explanation of rape fantasies or the actual crime of rape or rape related crimes.
And I do know about BDSM because I am studying criminal psychology, and I got my head start when 3 of my friends were raped and my sister was raped in front of me :112: :023:

I could continue but I rather not since I have to get up early tomorrow and tomorrow I'll find something that will prove my point since obviously you think you know everything

Also what I said is "coded" which means you will have to use your common sense to make anything of that make sense

Hint: Read between the lines if you can
Now what frightens me about that, is that something like that can actually be taught in a criminal psychology class...... I should certainly hope that this guy is just full of nonsense.

Yup...Nope... You think thats bad??? Ask one of our nice femsubs what happens if you go into the Doctors office with a bruise..

And yes, bullshit like that IS taught..and believed..currently.

Now you know exactly where my thread about being misunderstood originated. A good friend told me all sadists needed to be hunted down and put to death. The only reason we are still friends is because I realize his narrow-mindedness on that topic stems from pure ignorance and utter lack of experience, life or otherwise.

Even the nicest people on the planet can be unbelievably cruel and misguided in their lack of knowledge.

For the record, I was raped, by my exhusband no less. Nothing, and I repeat nothing, in my practice of BDSM has anything to do with that. That issue was addressed and conquered before I ventured into anything in this realm. I don't hate men. I am not a victim. I don't deserve abuse. I am not damaged goods.

As for this person (I am assuming it's a he), let me ask this - what kind of person lets his sister get raped in front of him and does nothing? Sounds to me like his guilt is tripping him up and his selfishness is taking her pain for his own.

Those two emoticons after he said that, Silverlily, were a smiley with an arched eyebrow and a smiley with a big "thumbs up", I do not know what it meant.

And no, Brinnie, it was a different forum entirely

Granted, I did not read the initial conversation nor did I see the emoticons. But from my perspective, this guy sounds like an ass. Tacking goofball smilies onto something like that, especially the rape of one's sister, makes me doubt his sincerity and question his age.

I just want to say good for you! You are really a positive example of how a victim of abuse, or anything else, can become whole again. I know you weren't asking for that, but I wanted to tell you anyway. :)

Yes he is an ass, and not much older than me, if at all, that forum doesn't enforce the age limit.

Well, now it seems that he has just totally caved on me.....

I am now thinking that he's 15 or something and was full of nonsense, why he pulled out.
This is a wierd thread, probably shoulda left it alone but oh well

So he's an ass making noise. I'd pretty much write him off as being on par with other ass noises.

Best method on a random messageboard is to go to the unmdoerated forum (if there is one) and just casually blab around. It will all the other posters feel fuckin' uncomfortable and the mods and admin can't do anything about it as it is an unmoderated forum and you haven't breached the TOS. Of course it gets interesting when someone chirps in and together you just blab around. It's hilarious, I tell you. No, really. It is.

I think that's pretty much what they're taught. Someone once used something I wrote that was very positive about bdsm relationships--laid it all out clearly and sanely, I mean--in his criminal psychology classes, and it causes an incredible furor in them. Really polarized the class. The teacher said that about 50% of the students were somewhat sympathetic but the other half just could not see this stuff we do as other than the gravest evil no matter how clearly and intelligently it was explained. While there are exceptions, most shrinks believe the same thing, unfortunately.

i guess your poster either forgot about, or hasn't reached in his/her studies the general consent rules dictated in some laws and the shrink's bible. This is why the police act as witnesses and not judge, nor jury. As a BDSM judge/jury member, i can condemn this turd to a life of celibacy infrequently interrupted by slow motion missionary sex. That should satisfy his/her nic as well.
