For some reason, I lay awake thinking of bumper stickers last night.

I decided I want one of those white oval bumper stickers- you know the kind that have plain black text? Presumably these indicate a place you've been. Like VT for Vermont etc.

So! I want a white oval bumper sticker that says pyl in bold, black text.

What would be some BDSM bumper stickers you all would like to have?

I'm not sporting a bumper sticker right now.....until I find or make a pyl one.

(apologies if this is a repeat thread, please)

i would never, ever put a BDSM related bumper sticker on my car. While Wichita isn't the worst place in the world...hot-bed of diversity it ain't....LOL

Besides, why would i want to expose myself to every person driving behind me???

(i have never understood gay pride bumper stickers either unless the person lives in New York or San Francisco...)

Hey, Hottie!

I would put one on my car... not sure what it would say yet.

I once saw one on the 101 FWY. It showed a woman with a ball gag in her mouth. I missed my exit staring at that stupid bumper sticker.

Should have been a clue, huh?

I like the one I saw that said, "If you're gonna ride my ass, at least pull my hair."

Wouldn't ever put it on my car though. What if I had to drive in a funeral?

My car in Oz proudly wore the bumper sticker,

"Sticks and stones may break my bones,
But whips and chains excite me".

Surprisingly perhaps I never had any problems because of it. :cathappy:

Is it naive to think not everyone would get the pyl thing?

I thought it would not be too obvious, and therefore "safe".

Afterall, the midwest aint the most liberal, open minded place either.

Hmmm.

No..that particular one would almost be "ok" in my opinion.

It's more like ones that subkitty or Cat described that would worry me. Understand though, that i frequently drive around with both of my small kids in my car and i would hate to have an issue with someone as i was leaving Target or some such place with them. Furthermore, i would feel like i did something wrong by them if my bumper sticker caused someone to vandalize my car which is the only transportation they have.

Right right, I understand that and feel the same.

I have kiddos too and wouldn't want to cause a ruckus.....

I had too much coffee before bed I think.

BUT, if acceptance were not an issue, I bet we could come up with some good ones.

Sure most wouldn't get it but you need to be prepared with a safe answer when someone asks you what pyl means though.

I used to have a bumper sticker that said, Happiness is Being Single. My ex tore if off my car just after he proposed. That should have been a sign, huh?

I also had one that said, Volunteers Give From the  on my only other car.

*sigh* I miss my old car.

I'm looking for something relating to my profession now. Generally speaking I don't like to draw attention to myself unless it doesn't put me in danger and/or makes me money.

:D

I could say it means, pick your logo? That makes some sense.

Got Rope is funny.

And to steal from EG I like"equal opprotunity sadist."

That would make my drive home from work less dull, if I saw that one.

Friends of mine have a really neat one which is just the leather pride flag, but one of those long narrow strips along the back of their rear window, with the little heart strategically placed.

They never get negative comments on it, because most people just don't know what it means.

I really want one that says "Celebrate Perversity"

I want that one so bad it hurts! And I would proudly put it on my bumper. :cathappy:

would be even funnier once my dad takes the van back. :p *giggles*

You can design your own stickers based on their templates, submit the design and your credit card, and they'll mail you your sticker(s) within a week. I've only done business with them once, but the service was excellent.

A word of warning: they require an email address for order confirmation. Shortly after I placed my order, I started to get bombarded with spam. I'm not sure that they sold my address, but it seems suspicious.

On ebay (of course!) there is a seller who has the BDSM symbol as a static cling type sticker. I have been thinking about getting it. Not everyone is going to know what it is and if someone asked me I could just play dumb and say it looked cool so I bought it.
The added bonus is that if I am going somewhere that I didn't want to advertise, its static cling, I can remove it and put it back on later.

When I made those cheerleader costumes for me and another subbie back at the shop, we came up with cheers that fit the shop as well. this was one of them, tho not the complete vertion:

Sticks and stones may break my bones
but whips and chains excite me

Andrew's crosses, pillaries
hold me while you spank me

:cathappy:

Of course every cheer ended up with the target on our asses displayed properly. *giggles*

So I was talking to a rather fetching lass and the conversation wound its' way to BDSM. She was surprised, wondering how I knew she was involved. I told her that it might have something to do with the Leather Pride flag on the back of the car. Her blush was spectacular.

It was amusing, but it boggled me to think that someone would put a Lether Pride sticker on their car and then be surprised when someone else notices it and comments on it.

You should have seen the blush on my face when I would wear my leather dog collar out and some one would make a comment about me being a sub or something like that. But then I always blush when I talk about things even slightly off from the regular how's the weather. Especailly when I'm being hit on.

I rarely blush. When I do, it's an event. I will admit to a certain fondness for ladies that blush. The one I mentioned I became very fond of indeed.

Someone mentioned the BDSM symbol. "v" has been thinking about getting that as a tat.

Wow. I would never "out" myself that way though I often wish I could.

However, I can almost understand thinking no one will notice. People these days often don't notice MOST things unless it is set before them on a silver platter with a bow on it. They won't investigate, research or think on their own, they expect others to do all this for them. It really pisses me off sometimes.

I blush a lot or not at all depending.

I notice things. I watch people. Too many years working security in nightclubs and such, and then years doing investigative interviews and fraud-prevention work. So whenever I talk with anyone, I've taken stock of all the details about them that I can see. It's just habit. Admittedly it can be a disconcerting habit, but it depends on the person I'm talking to.

I don't feel a need to out myself, and apparently it's not important for me to do so. I've been told by more than one sub that my orientation is as plain as the nose on my face =P
