I love both the bondage and the artistic aspects of rope. I have started learning self-ties, to work the creative and spatial coordination (not sure if that's an actual thing) parts of my brain and because I find the compression can be calming. Here's a sample (complete with some imperfections)...

Oh wow. Never heard of self ties. As far as any imperfections I don't see any...at all.
