Getting ready to vacation-in-place:
More beer
More sunscreen (for wife and son)
More junk food
Enjoy the off time. On the bright side, after the beer you shouldn't have trouble finding your room!![]()
After the beer, I won't trip going UP the stairs to the bedroom! I have this habit of tripping up stairs, but it goes away when I've had a few LOL
No stairs inside but our back deck has 13 and one 1 in the front. Guess which way we come into the house now!
We use the front, since the cats love to escape out the back, will open the back door!
We've moved our comfortable chairs and stuff to the front porch. Enclosed it so none of our furbabies can get out.
July, we're getting guess-timates to enclose the back and front porches. City code has been informed of our plans.
We didn't fully enclose yet. We put rubberized mesh on the lower part for the pups. An enclosed cat tree for them.
Wife and son have plans, been saving up the bonus checks. Back porch needs work, might just expand it, add a third door so the cats can't get out.
Ron wants to put a cat door in the storm door. Then run a tunnel to the tree area. We're afraid the dogs will get caught in the tunnel.
Yeah, they will. Dogs aren't always quick on the uptick.
They're shi tzu and bison frise mix. Small and devious. Might be fun to watch.![]()
We had a beagle and something mix. Short, hairy, and stupid. Fun to watch come down the hill in the backyard
I'll bet. Beagles don't do hills well.
he tried to be like his Irish Setter/Black Labrador mix brother and prance down. He also would narc on him when the bigger dog would jump the fence to go up to the park and play with the ducks!
Ours love ducks. A local well to do family has a small duck pond in their yard. We take ours up there and they darn near break the leashes to get to it.
He would leave the house in the spring and summer every other morning between 5 and 6. He'd walk the half mile or so up to the duck pond and play with them. Usually he'd come back around 7:30-8 or a cop friend would open the door and call him in. LOL
