Hugs and Kisses back at ya!! And I hope you have a great day as well.

I meant to tell you I loved the view you have of the forest!! I am jealous. ;) I live out in the country but looking out my front window I can see woods.... behind my parents house! Yes I live that close to them. I live right across the road from them and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now! But I love watching the leaves turn colors. So beautiful here when they do.

Have a good one PM

:rose:

Hi everyone-

Not doing so well today. My son has been crying uncontrolably for the last hour or so. Can't tell if it is pain or not. Have an appointment in a few hours to rule it out. This is just so NOT like him at all. He is 16 months, so I wonder if it is just temper - though it seems to have moved beyond that.

Any Moms here today?

Just so worried.

Oh gurl, I can sympathize with you! When I brought Brock home from the hospital he cried like that for the first 6 months of his life! He had colic tho, every time he ate he had a tummy ache.

Thanks Angel! Glad you like the pics :) I live about 6 miles from my parents....sometimes I would like it to be 600 miles, hehehe. The area we are in is pretty neat, everyone has an acre or 2 at least for their yard....my parents have 4 acres. So the trees and woods are in eveyrone's yard like this :)

Yeah, I am sure this is not colic, though it could be a tummy thing?

I am leaning towards ear infection or teething. It just concerns me because he has never gone on like this before.

Oh that would be great!! My ideal place is about 1/2 mile off the main road. It was my mama and papa old farm. They sold it when I was only 3. It is only a mile or two from me and I have been there a couple of times. I have been told many of times I could down any time I want. I just didn't want to feel like I was intruding onto someones privacy...lol

Now yes sometimes I feel like I am too close to my parents. But I have learned to fool my mom...lol She used to be able to tell when I got home from being out by when I turned the lights on in the living room. Now I turn a light on when I leave!!! She never knows when I get home!! I have to keep them guessing!

I noticed when Brock would have an ear infection ( he only had 2, knocking on wood) he would pull and tug at his ears when he was crying.

If it is a tummy ache, and they can be so severe on little ones, the only way I could comfort Brock was to put him high on my shoulder and walk and pat his back. The Dr. told me to put him high on my shoulder cuz that would apply just a little bit of pressure and help him burp if that was the problem.

I sure hope you both get some relief soon hon. I know from experience it can be bad on both of you when the baby is sick and you don't know what to do for him.

He is not pulling on his ears, but he was rubbing the side of his head on the floor, so I don't know.

It could very well be just gas and he is having a hard time with it.

Thanks Sweetie for the suggestions.:rose:

Hugsss Red

I am so sorry, I just now seen your post. I swear I looked before and it wasn't there. I don't know what to tell you about your son. My brain is still not working well yet.

Could he be teething? I don't have any children of my own and sorry to say not too experienced in that area. There has been a flu bug going around lately though. Wish I could help you out more! Handing you a puffs to dry your tears ( I know I would be crying if my baby was sick and I didn't know what to do) putting my arm around your shoulder hugging you tightly!!

If I was there I would try singing to the baby but he might not like my voice and cry more...lol It is the only thing I knew to do with my nieces and nephew!

I must be going though. I hope things turn out better for you. I have to go eat before I get ready for work this evening. Take care and prayers be with you!!

PM it was nice talking with you this morning. I hope you have a wonderful day.

:rose: 's to you both

Red, does he have a fever? Usually when they are bothered with teething, they have a low grade fever.....I might try rubbing his gums with my finger and see if that helps any. Geeeeez I really wish I could be of more help hon. I'm so sorry. Please let me know what the Dr says, I truly am concerned.:rose: :rose: :rose:

Thanks again Ladies:rose:

He had a fever a few days ago but doesnt seem to now. It could very well be teething. A friend of mine told me that this is about the time they get molars and that experience is different from the other teeth coming in.

I have to get ready to leave soon. I will definetely keep you posted.

Ok Y'all, here is the update:

Hey everyone-

I want to thank you for your support earlier. Just got home from the pediatrician. He believes we have a stomach virus of some sort - which there is nothing I can do much about. Oh, and that motrin I gave my sone probably made it worse. Duh. Anyway, the angel is napping away (whew).

BTW - I have become convinced, Space, that you are one of the nicest guys around.;) :rose:

hehe Hey it is not Noon yet so I can still say morning... ;)

Yes Gem I will be sure to be checking for the adam's apple and the 5 o'clock shadow! But I know mostly everyone that is coming to the party. I still have to sit and do the invitations. I have to be formal about it...lol Even though I just told them and they were asking when!!!

Morning Woody, Did you get any of this wonderful rain this weekend??? I loved it!

Ms Angel

The rain was good, the lightening wild.... but the front itself I hate, does weird things to me which I really hate, anyway, I hope your doing well

Red I know from my own dealings with my son how bad it can be, and now that you know what's going on all I can offer is what I did then and now for mine when his tummy is upset. I get some of the old style peppermints, be it hardtack or a peppermint stick. Some of the mint chews they have now is also good but with him so young I don't think it's a good idea for small ones (I'm not a total idiot) so maybe try a peppermint stick

I hope he and you do better tonight

Hey Jas, Cipher and Woody-

Thank you too for your concern. He is sleeping now so all is well.:)
