First off, I would like to say that I am not in the scene but I do have a fasination with it and the people who choose this lifestyle (or does the lifestyle chooses them? ). I've been researching this quite a bit and, Porphry, correct me if I'm misinformed, it more about trust and finding your outermost bounderies and tolerances, than a pure pain/pleasure experince although that is a large part of it.
