I would be scared to pierce my tongue. I know it's not supposed to hurt, because there's not a lot of nerves in the middle of your tongue. However, I've been scared that I'd crack all my teeth with the stud.

I think it looks cool, though.

Yea, I was scared to. The first time I did it I was really nervous, but the result was for nothing. They peirced it, it didn't hurt, or anything, but I felt the needle go through. It was really neat. The second time (took my first one out when I got pregnant with my son) it hurt a little but not that bad. He went through the scar tissue. The main worry you would have to watch for is eating something and it ripping, but it heals fast. The teeth can be a problem, but my teeth are already weak, so I don't worry too much about it. They break easier than you can say novacaine.
