Hi everyone 
Noooooo, I have not been ignoring you or avoiding you ........ just very busy lately.
I'm just popping in to let you know that all of the UK are remembering our good friends and relatives from across the the pond ...... and indeed, around the World on this sad day.
It is also a year ago today that LoveMeHateMe's apartment was lost when the Apartment block caught fire ........ so if she ever looks in ..........

Hanging my head in Prayer...
Just saying a little prayer for all us here and the rest of the world. My heart aches for all today. I will not bring up what I saw for I believe in my heart that it is just as fresh in our memory. But I will not dwell on the past for that will only make him stronger. I will give myself a hug and be grateful that I am here today so that I may take care of those that are closet to me. I will go on living with the knowledge not to be as naive that our country cannot be hurt on our own soil, but let it also be known that even in the most difficult times we all joined together. Through all of our bad times we "thought" we had. When something of this magnitude happens we know that eveyone is indeed our neighbor and standing there with an outstretch hand to help, no matter the religion, race or age. "From sea to shinging sea" we were family in one moment of time.
May God and Love be with you all today!!

A day of rememberance
Hello All,
As this is one year later - now 9/11/02, I am offering a poem by Mattie J.T. Stepanek, as writen by him 9/11/01, and published in Hope through Heartsongs.
9-11...2001
It was a dark day in America.
There was no amazing frace.
Freedom did not ring.
Tragedy attacked sky-high.
Fiery terror reigned.
Structures collapsed.
Red with blood, white with ash,
And out-of-the-sky blue.
As childern trust elders,
Citizens find faith in leaders.
But all were blinded,
Shocked by the blasts.
Undefiable outrage.
Undeniable outpouring.
Of support, even prayer,
Or at least, moments of silence.
Church and State
Could not be separated.
A horrific blasting of events
With too few happy endings.
Can the children sleep
Safely in their beds tonight?
Can the citizens ever rest
Assured of national security again?
God, please, bless America...
And the rest of our earthly home.
I offer the poem here, as this has been my main thread when on Lit. Also, even a year later, it is a way to remember.
Don't know when I'll stop by again, but let me say this, I do see some new faces, and reconize a number of old (if you can say even a half a year is old
), and hope everyone takes a moment to remember today, just a year ago. Hope that this finds you doing better today than yesterday, and may the promiss of tomorrow be fulfilled.

This is one of those days that's full of reflections and memories of not only what devestating events took place a year ago, but maybe of things you have done in your own past, I know I'm remembering some of mine....
If memory hasn't failed me, these words have been posted somewhere on these threads, but incase you didn't know or haven't seen them, the following are the words for TAPS
Day is done

From the skies

Safely rest.
God is nigh.
Fading light
Dims the sight
And a star

I should be adding more some time soon to the link above (the word "here" in the above paragraph is a hyperlink).

As always, you are still doing a wounderful job of taking a good picture and making it fine, or making a special creation out of a couple differant pics, such as what you have done for Cipher, and the water refectionion for Redelicious.
I never knew the words for TAPS, always though it was just an instrumental piece - thanks for posting it over here.

I seem to be doing okay this evening, and hope this finds you doing fine as well. And nice meeting you as well.
I tend to work afternoons and evenings, so the times can be bad for chatting with some people. Some people are in bed by 10pm eastern time, and others are just getting here, as they are on the west coast. We even have people from merry old England, and that can make things more confusing, and when you add in the other places, like down under, or the cold ice caps, times can be funny.
You will find that some people only post 5 or 6 times, and then disapear all together. Others, like me, may post a good number of times in short order, then take a break, come back and post some more. This is a fast moving thread, if you miss a week or two, you are soon out of date, but that is just the nature of the beast. Some people are able to spend a good amount of time here, as they may be homemakers, stay at home parents, retired, studends on break, or other things, and are able to hit a high number of post in short order.
Take your time, and go at your own pace. And before I forget my manners all together, Welcome to Lit and BBW_Pics. Feel free to share and post what you feel comfortable with.
