Cipher I am real curious about the Latino/Northern BBQs. I know all the Latinos I have ever known took gatherings/parties to the next level. Here in the south the epitomy of BBQ is known as a Pig-Picken, Its a Carolinas thing. Ya start early and dig a pit. Ya line it with wood. Set the fire off and put the pig in about 10 oclock or so. About the time the beer starts to flow. Horeshoes and shit shooting proceed for the next several hours. When the pig is deemed done it is uncovered and the picking part begins. A variation is without the pit and uses a BIG grill and as the pig starts to get done it starts to get munched on. In both versions it is never really served but more or less picked at, hence a pig-picken.

Well...we get down a diff way..i'm of latin/west indian decent..so when we bbq..we bbq hella jerk chicken....my one uncle tho..he's got 2 barrels they bbq in..yeah we're kinda ghetto like that..LoL
But we bbq alot of ethnic food..like carne asada, fajita meat..and blackened chicken..carribean style..so we eat alot of hot food..i don't eat meat, so i don't eat that, but i eat beans and tortillas on a daily and non meat foods..LoL We all have our own ways of doing bbq's..i mean it's not how u cook ur food, it's how you eat it and the company that surrounds you..but yeah..we get down with music, we dance, we drink, we talk about all kinds of shit..we rib on eachother, we just have a good time..LoL

Here is another strange tradition: In some parts of the state people DEEP FRY their turkeys for Thanksgiving. Now maybe this is commonplace, but I had never heard of it before a few years ago.
Apparently you can go to Walmart or Lowes to buy these huge outdoor deepfryers and you just drop the entire turkey in there.

Yeah ur passin me hardcore..LoL But ur on faster moving threads, i dumped alot of my fast moving threads like from the gb..i guess i'm just sick of reading the same shit all the time..the tc thread moves fast, it's always on the top of the page, and like i said i don't have anything to confess..not on here to people i don't know anyway..and reading other people's bizz isn't my forte..so i just post on the slower ones these days..i dunno girl..i get bored easy..LoL
