I have been lurking for a while, especially around the BBW threads since I am one (well for sure the first B anyway). I very much appreciate that there are men out there who appear to be "normal" who enjoy a women with some meat on her bones :D. I really am just curious though and I often find myself wondering how guys define BBW. I imagine it is one of those things that are different for each person. I completely get the love affair with a women who has larger breasts and butts . . . hourglass figures I think are the most appealing (based solely on wishing that was my shape :eek: ). But what about women who have big bellies, fat arms, a 2nd chin, dimpled cottage cheese legs (and arms) :eek: . . . do they fit in your BBW definition? In my ongoing struggle to feel ok about being substantially larger than most women and not being endowed with breasts and a butt that are larger than my middle, I find it difficult to believe that my body shape is appealing to men. I have read the "all women are sexy" lines, which is such an ambiguous blanket statement that it does little to diminish my concerns. Being 40ish, single since the dawn of time (or at least it feels that way), and not seeing any real change in that status on the horizon I find myself wondering if I should just accept that I am not likely to find a decent single guy who is actually sexually attracted to me. I suppose I should define decent since that is likely person-specific as well. What I mean by decent is a guy who is intelligent, socially engaging, responsible, trustworthy, kind, respectful, has good hygiene, isn't looking for someone to be his mom and/or sugar momma, and is emotionally intact though baggage is fine since he will have to deal with mine (compatible baggage would be ideal ;) ). I look at some of the pictures posted of BBW and the women are gorgeous (round higher breasts, round ass, sensually hips that curve into a tighter waist, gently rounded bellies, graceful limbs, and not a dimpled patch on their thighs-though I have seen some with the dimples and even their breasts migrating south). After I take off my green tinted envy goggles, I try to remind myself that some of the smooth skinned plump beauties have been photoshoped or they are genetically blessed to be curvy in the “right” places, but the drooling from the men (and women) over the pictures reinforces the idea to me that I perhaps don’t fit the BBW definition because I don’t look like that :confused:. On occasion I will see a cellulite goddess posted who’s belly folds over onto her thighs and who’s breasts point to her toes and I wait with bated breath to see what the guys will say, how they will respond. There is usually one or two that make a comment about the women being hot and I smile and check their profile . . . they are married or in a LTR. Ahhhhhh!!!!! Ok, now I am just ranting, I will stop. But I just thought I would put this out there to see what people think, just in case my thoughts are irrational or skewed (which has been known to happen on occasion). :)

I can definitely tell you that there ARE single men out there who like big women. Well, they like women of all sizes. I was involved with a couple before I met hubby. Nice guys, it just didn't work out geographically. As far as I know they are still single. Extrapolate from that and figure there are at least a couple for every plus size girl out there. :D I'm not small, you can see a little bit of a pic of me in my profile. I'm wearing a 3x these days and was when I met those guys and my now husband. Confidence IS important. I work in a public arena and I got approached the most for dates when I was feeling good about myself.
 
Peaches most of it melted, was "slushy" this! ', but I bet we got 3" May get more tonight. It"warmed up" to around 40 degrees today.

I'd have to agree - If my SO is any indication whatsoever he thinks I'm hot, sexy and beautiful (and please note - we're NOT going to see the eye doctor any time soon ;) ). And the more loved I feel from him, the less self -conscious of my size I am - and the more the men seem to notice and flirt. Self confidence DOES make a difference - and I'm a 2-3X too (and a silver haired granny to boot).
