I have only ever had sex with 2 people & unprotected sex ever with my wife so maybe this is a stupid question but everytime my wife & I have sex,she has to run to the bathroom & take a bath to wash herself off. I don't understand how people can talk about having sex multiple times if this is normal for women & if it's not normal can someone please tell me why my wife does this?

I can't say if it's "normal" or not. It is your situation and you have to deal with it, so it's important to you. But I suspect your wife is thinking:
sex = dirty = bath (although the third term should be shower.) You have to let her know that this is bothering you. She decides if she wants to change her behavior or not. You decide if you can accept this or not.
If she wants to change, you'll have to help your wife overcome her conditioning and break this chain of thought. You'll need to have lots of discussions with her, probably with the help of a therapist.
(I'm not a therapist, I just play one on the bulletin board.)

I don't think it's normal, well, at least not for me. Maybe she thinks that sex is a dirty thing, and there fore feels like she has to take a shower. Personally, it depends on how sweaty and sticky things get. ~evil grin~

Could she be unsatisfied by the sex and too embarrased to masturbate to completion with you watching?
The thought occured, because you make it sound like she's pushing you out as soon as you cum and sprinting for the showers. That image doesn't fit with my experience of a satisfied woman.
Another possiblilty is "wet spot reduction." She may be trying to minimize the wet spot she has to sleep on.

Don't know about the bath, but if the woman doesn't go to the bathroom and pee after intercourse, she can develop a bladder infection.
Mostly can happen in the missionary position, I'm told. I have had this happen, and that was my doctor's explanation. Has to do with semen pushed into the urethra by the penis going in and out with the woman lying on her back.

And bladder infections are no joke. Very painful, requiring antibiotics.

it's not the semen getting pushed in the urethra--its the bacteria that's present on the penis and around the vagina--which is normally in check---rough or vigorous sex just seems to make the darn buggers evil.
As for the wife showering/bathing--maybe she is trying to prevent an infection. Why not try offering to help with the shower. maybe even have a bath drawn for her before sex--just to see what happens

Ok, once again I am opening my big mouth, so forgive me. I do that to my husband. But I know that he understand completely. As I am sure most of you know, the female body is a very sensitive and tricky thing. When I am having my shower, it's not because I feel dirty, ohhh far from it, it's because I want to reduce the risk of my getting an infection. See, our gentle parts are tucked up, one inside the other, and sometimes we all get so vigorous in our play and love, that we get extremely messy. Well when we get messy, I have a tendency to end up with a massive infection. Not a pleasant thing. So I ask you, would you rather talk to your wife and find out why she does this<my hubby was mystified until we talked about it> or would you rather she didn't do this and then you might possibly end up having to deal with a very cranky woman in pain that just isn't like anything you have ever experienced?

that is whacked, there are times my wife and I have sex multiple times through out the night, I have never, ever heard of a girl who has to bathe after sex every time. I think she has some kind of OCD.

Hunny, I have to at least clean down there between bouts. My husband and I were doing one of our fav. activites <won't say what it is> but afterwards even as I went to clean up, I knew that I was gonna have an infection. I could already feel it. Do you know how glad I am to know I'm not the only one who suffers this? I can't even think about sex with out getting a "UTI Call" (my affectionate, little name for the excrutiating pain that grips my nether regions.) I've tried the sprint for the showers thing--even that doesn't always work. Sigh. At least I have company in my misery.

Gray, I had that trouble, but I did find a way to help it. Ok, there's two steps, one, make sure you keep a towel close at hand whenever you get booty <g>. Afterwards (and this will look and sound wierd) take the towel and do a quick clean, wrap the towel between your legs(yeah kinda like a diaper), then head for the bathroom, next after your all clean, head downstairs and grab a tall glass of 100% pure cranberry juice(cocktail usually works.)
