I think I get my hair cut about once every two or three years...And my wife does it just to trim off the split ends...Otherwise it stays long...

I cut my own hair and I think I do a really good job. People always tell me they like it and then when I tell them I did it myself, they get this horrified look on their faces. Maybe they're lying then.

I cut my own hair every other day. I love simplicity.

I just take the clippers and set them at one level and just do my whole head. Beard, what hair is left on the sides and back, eyebrows...

I need a small mirror to get my neck cleaned up and to make sure I don't miss spots, but that's it.

I just get my head shaved someplace within a half hour drive from my house (the drive home feels great) once or twice a year.

Just for that, I get.. hmm.. 5 back rubs! LOL.

For a real haircut, probably ever 4-6 weeks, depending on how long it takes to get my mom and I off work at the same time.
Other than that, I keep it trimmed up myself.
Ahh, the beauty of being a hairdresser, lol.

And people!
I'm appalled at hearing some of you go for more than a year!
That is unacceptable!
Your hair likes you better if you get it cut regularly, every 4-6 weeks, even if they barely cut anything off of it. 'Dusting' the ends if you will.

And for those of you that cut your own hair...

caution:
if you stop the helix on a barber pole, cataclism will ensue. rotation of the earth will be completely altered and the aliens will have finally won. just give the kindly little creatures the chapstick they desire and let them on their way. why mess with things you couldn't possibly understand?


btw, i never get just one hair cut...when i get my hair 'styled' i like to get as many cut as possible.

My 10yo daughter cuts my hair for me every two weeks. Clippers set to No.1.
It saves time drying my hair in the morning.
