Hi, Miles! Here's an Onion article for you.
‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens

Solid gun laws in one state don't make up for the fact that the surrounding Western states--and most of the country in general--have recklessly lax gun laws.
And that's a Republican problem. After a very political adult life, I'm cynical as fuck when it comes to the differences between the two parties--when it comes to the actual candidates and officeholders, not so much the voters--but this is one of the rare times I'll out the GOP for being a problem. Most GOP candidates and officeholders--even now, this week, on fucking camera--will say it's wrong to keep a person red flagged as a possible terrorist from owning guns or explosives. And that's fucking crazy.

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog...t_dhs_on_terror_watch_list.html#ixzz3tLqLyCrMCongressman Stephen Lynch (D- MA) was one of 47 Democrats who joined with Republicans to support a GOP bill to tighten screening requirements for “Syrian refugees.” I happen to think this is moot since the FBI Director has made it crystal clear we can screen all we want, but since there is no intelligence to refer back to, the process will yield unreliable results. That aside, Lynch is speaking out on his lack of confidence in the Department of Homeland Security as well as the Transportation Security Administration. On Tuesday, during an interview on Boston Public Radio, Lynch stated:
Back in August, we did an investigation—the inspector General did—of the Department of Homeland Security, and they had 72 individuals that were on the terrorist watch list that were actually working at the Department of Homeland Security. The director had to resign because of that. Then we went further and did and eight-airport investigation. We had staffers go into eight different airports to test the department of homeland security screening process at major airports. They had a 95 percent failure rate. We had folks—this was a testing exercise, so we had folks going in there with guns on their ankles, and other weapons on their persons, and there was a 95 percent failure rate.
