Banquet

Princess Ysobelle: Courtesy

"Then you know my brother well," I smiled at Malee as the first notes of the fanfare sounded. "Come, it appears my parents have arrived."

With that I swept back into the hall, and strode across towards my father and mother. Now I saw him I could see so clearly what had been hidden from me. He was frail, gaunt and appeared so old. His arm, normally locked with the Queen's in love, was now there to support him as she led him down the stairs. Once he reached the bottom of the stairs I took his hand and kissed it, kneeling before him in courtesy.

"Father, my apologies for my tardiness. I had a minor matter to deal with."

Then I stood again and placed his other hand through my arm to lead him to the largest seat at the great table. Once he was comfortable, I took my seat beside him and thought about the evening to come, and how sick my father was.

I smile gratefully at my wife, the beautiful sorceress who enchanted my heart, take her arm in mine, and walk back to the banquet.

I decided to attend the party after all.Maybe lady malee will be there so i may speak to her.I had been shining my shield but placed it back in the armory on the way to the place of the party.I needed to locate her swiftly to expalin im not going to punish her.

Just then i thought i saw her down the hall."Lady malee," i called hoping it was her.....

Malee

My hands brush across my cheeks, brightening them with impatient rubbing. The tears will not go away quickly enough! Damndable wretch that I am, I never truly had control of my own emotions, save to keep them hidden when in the presence of the Princess. With her, I am always calm and understanding. Without her... I am a mess of bundled feelings, packaged neatly in a Lady's gown.

A moment longer passes, and I emerge from the Viranda, passing a quick smile to a fellow servant as she worries for me. My fingers brush across her cheek quickly, hidden from the crowd as their attention is drawn to the King.

The Herald plays his tune again, summoning the Lords and Ladies of the Court to their places for introduction. This is the part of a formal Banquet that I detest. For the entire room to stare at me makes me self-conscious, and I would rather be sitting beside the Princess, learning about the King.

Moving to my place at the end of the Great Hall, I am at least pleased to be matched with Lord Justin, a man of the Prince's. He holds his arm for mine, which I give out of half duty, and half eagerness. He is calm, and quiet, and distinctly handsome. The Herald calls my name and his, and we begin to walk. My arm rests along his as he leads me forward. Then, almost regretfully, he is gone again, parted on our seperate ways at the end of the Banquet Table.

Each of us move to our respective places: I, at my Princess' right hand, and he, at the empty seat that would be filled by the Prince, had he not vanished this eve. Standing behind our chairs, I curtsey, and he bows to the King and Queen. I repeat the gesture to my Princess, as he assuredly would have done to the Prince. In one movement, both of us claim our seats, and turn our eyes to the King and Queen as the rest of the Lords and Ladies are called out.

But my eyes can't help but wander the various entrances to the Hall. Where is the Prince?!

Prince Albernon

Right at the moment the heralds were to summon him, the Prince appears at the Princess' side. He has a different look about him, one of wonderment and almost maturity.

He nods to the King, almost as if to say, "Sorry I am late.."

He nods to his sister, a faint smile creeping up his face as he remembers her little secret, and his.

Princess Ysobelle: A Prince By Another Name Would Still Stink of Sex

I looked at my brother as he stormed into the banquet hall, late as usual. He was unkempt and dishevelled, obviously having been involved in some physical activity. What that was was obvious. He stank of sex. It was a scent I had come to know well recently, but I had always had the good manners to wash it off myself before meeting other. He... well, he was my brother the oaf. Even above the odors of the banquet hall I could smell woman on him. No doubt he wasn't even aware of it. I gave him the required courtesy, a nod, and waited for the king and queen to take their seats.

Prince Albernon

I saw the way my sister wrinkled her nose at me when I appeared. I knew she hated me, thought of me as some uncouth oaf...what did I care? I was the heir to the throne of this Kingdom, and dear old dad seemed kind of sick lately.

In the meantime, my loins had been awakened by Delly and her friends. There would be more of that for sure. My uptight, bitchy sister would just have to keep wrinkling her nose, because I didn't care.

*snif* *snif* Whew! I think I can still smell Delly on me, maybe I should have cleaned up a bit...

nelix:

it wasnt her.I headed n the direction of the main chambers.the more i thought about it the more i needed to speak with malee.or the princess.I needed to find out what the king had planned for me and the princess....

My nose wrinkled at the scent the Prince had brought with him. I knew that scent.

I raised an eyebrow in his direction, and offered a quizzical smile, but said nothing as I waited for the King to begin the festival.

Prince Albernon

I looked over at Malee, who seemed to have a funny smile on her face. I winked. I had such new confidence I wanted to try out on her.

I jerked my head back to the Prince. Was that just a wink I saw? What was meant by that?! My eyebrows furrow in question, but he answers not, and I am forced to wonder.

ooc: where'd everybody go? *sighs* I'm trying to get help from a friend at the board... maybe he can play Justin or something. Might spark some more interest.

OOC: Sorceror

Still here, but waiting for my 'wife' to post.

OOC: Heh, Princess is still interested, but without the king and queen, who everyone is currently waiting to take a seat and conduct proceedings, it's kinda dead.

ooc: Damn... I miss this thread. I had so much fun!!! Anyone up for a revival of it, maybe?

*chuckles* My Prince! Malee hath wondered where thy royal ass doth gotten to! LOL

Good by me, I'd love to restart it. Problem is, we've got to figure out who else is still interested. I know BadForm still posts, but I'm not sure about anyone else...

*looks over his shoulder* Mine ass doth seem to be where it always is....cute ass, too.

I'll be waiting to hear from ya.,

Badform still posts, but has been intermittent - I'm currently working on correcting that tho... so if this restarts, that would be good.

Okay, so the Prince, the Princess, and Malee are still here....

Maybe we could open it up for other knights and such... get a new court in here.

Maybe change it to after the banquet? or just restart, perhaps. *smiles* I miss being Malee!!!

I must admit - I did end up scheming all sorts of wonderful things for the perverted princess... ;) Would be fun if this thread either got going again from where we left or completely restarted...

Just did a quick check on a couple of names I haven't seen a while from this thread - looks like Sweet Angel and Neale have retired from SRP, so it probably makes more sense to recast and reopen the thread from start...

Whoo hoo! I'm definately in, then. *smiles* I say we restart completely, probably on the night of the banquet.. I'll post Sweet Angel's beginning post (with some minor corrections of course) and hopefully we'll get this going again! Thanks guys!!!!
