Yeh, I was going to one but it's so difficult to get the taffeta pressed flat.:D

What?

It was better than saying tittyfuckbollocks.

Damn it, Lou. There you go teasing me again. I thought this was going to be a thread about flamboyant '50's rock star, Jerry Lee Lewis, and his song, "Great Balls of Fire."

Rumple Foreskin

ps: To what do you ascribe your sudden outburst of untoward emotion? RF

Sorry about the teasing. ;)

As for why the sudden outburst, it's because the weather is damn hot here (about 30C, which is hot for us!) and I'm stuck indoors trying to work. I cannot be bothered!

Oh, balls to it, I'm taking my dog down to the river. He can lie in the shade or have a swim, while I sunbathe/paddle/dream of faraway places. :)

Lou :rose:

P.S. Vella and Randy, I also like tittyfuckbollocks better, but that would have been just plain weird for a thread title. :p

This evening I'm taking my daughter's dogs to the sea.

That's a really energetic walk - about 20 yards downhill.

One of the dogs will dive into the sea as soon as she's off the lead and lie there wondering why she hasn't retrieved the ball we haven't had time to throw. The other dog will look at her as if she is stupid. He's right about her, but he is just as stupid. He goes to the edge of the water and yelps when the waves hit him. Will he move? No.

After they are wet - then they want the walk. The usual is a round trip of 3 miles, chasing a ball until we get back home for a good towelling - the dogs, not me.

My daughter takes the dogs home for a shower - the dogs and her. She wonders why her shower drain is continually blocked and it's 'Daddy fix it!' time again to remove sand and dog hair.

She has just acquired two long haired cats. One likes sleeping in the shower tray and will not move even for two large hairy dogs. Getting the dogs clean starts with 'yeowl!', 'bark! bark! bark!', 'hiss! hiss!' and a scratched daughter.

I'm glad she's not living at home any more.

Well, I'm back from my long walk by the river. I'm hot, but suitably refreshed. I didn't go in, just paddled, because rivers can be dangerous (;) ). Dogs fear nothing, though, except swans. Billy has learnt to give them a wide birth.

We got to the river and he bounded down the bank and promptly started to bark at the water (as he does). He splashes it with his front paw, them jumps and leaps to catch the drops in his mouth, barking with excitement the whole time. I didn't let him play for too long - he was shattering the peace of a very idyllic place.

We walked a fair way, through the fields and so on, and I now have one worn out, but very happy, dog. :)

I'm a happy Katie, too. :D

Have fun this evening, Og. You've now "persuaded" me to go to the beach tomorrow. ;)

Yep, it's heavy, oppressive heat that I don't like. Unfortunately that's the only kind we really get. The British summer goes like this: two days of heat, followed by a thunderstorm. And we piss and moan the entire time. ;)

Haven't had any rain here for weeks, though! What's with that?

I'd gladly send you some of what we're getting right now - pouring down.

Hot and wet here, all summer - and not in a good way.

Which reminds me. I know why I've been killing time today and what I'm waiting for. I hope the temperature drops here a bit tomorrow. :p

Lou

P.S. How you doing, Cloudy, babe?

You just hadta throw that in, knowing that it's two months and counting for me, didn't you? :p

I'm doing okay, I think. Haven't been awake long enough yet to really tell. Trying like hell to work on a story, but the sentences are coming very slowly right now.

Wanna inspire me? ;)

I know. I'm sawry, honey!

Mine's a last minute thing. ;)

I gave up trying to work on my story earlier. I'll crack on with it this evening, once the kids are in bed and the temperature drops.

As for inspiring you, I think the person to do that is the one who sends you those emails. Why not read back through some? It usually does the trick for me. ;)

I'm writing a lesbian scene right now - much harder than I thought to do.

Yep, I knew that! :D

As for your scene, just write it as you would a scene about a man and a woman, without the willy. :p

The thing that's tripping me up is all the "she"s and "her"s. I've read Colly's "how to," and it's very helpful, but trying to get around the language thing......

Yeah, that can be tricky. I've got two lesbian stories here and I think for both I used their actual names, more often than not. The problem then, though, is trying not to become repetative. All the best with it, and let me know when it's done! ;)

Will do.

I think the idea's a little too ambitious, but it was one of those things that was in my head and wouldn't leave. And, yeah, I'm using their names more than normal, which looks funny, but I'll get over it.

I wanted to do something I hadn't tried before, but not sure if this monster of an idea is quite the way to start, but we'll see.

In these days there is only one kind of balls, and you should know this Lou. :)
