Bad weather/saying no to the job

I have a driving shift tomorrow which I said yes to. Now I looked at the news and holy, the weather here in UK is going to get bad. I don't want to do the shift tomorrow. What do I say to them? I've never said no to them ever. I don't wanna feel bad.

It's a temporary agency job so it's not like they're going to be super angry but giving them no notice feels kinda unprofessional.

I was a trucker. If I stayed home and cried every time the sun wasn't shinning I'd been fired.
Suck up butttercup and do your job. Or get a job in a beauty parlor trimming women's toenails.

It's going to rain a little? Suck it up.

Giving no notice is bad Crank but I know what you mean about the weather. Can you not phone them tonight and tell them you can't do it. Give them half a chance to replace you.

I do only two days a week. I have a permanent business so it's not like I have to do it. Hmm...

@tallladiesman they do the same thing too most of time. Cancel a shift without any notice but I guess that's different.

You're a temp. You owe them very little and they owe you the same. However, if you want them to keep calling you back, then you owe it to YOURSELF to be reliable. Otherwise, it don't matter that it don't matter. Capisce?

Vincent 'Vinnie' Antonelli: Are you trying to say capeesh?
Barney: Yeah.
Vincent 'Vinnie' Antonelli: Well don't do it, cause it hurts my ears when you do it.

Do the job and drive their vehicle like you stole it. If you crash you can blame the weather. ;)

I don't think the forecast is that bad is it? I'd be more worried about tiredness driving if you're still posting past 2am!

"Capisce" is an accepted spelling, particularly in the UK which is where Ninja lives, and where he drives a "lorry" which I'm really, really sure isn't spelled "Laurie" over there.

I'm just trying to speak in his native tongue.

Capeesh? ;)

It's just a bit of bloody rain. Get your lazy arse off to work!

Snow and ice is one thing but rain and wind. Just drive carefully if you can. If you cancel or No show, you're burning bridges you might need in the future. You never now when an opportunity will lead to another opportunity down the line. Do it.

Stuff yourself into the boot and enjoy the ride...
