Opinions? Good for fighting human trafficking? Should the gov't be allowed to pressure credit card companies because they disagree with the content on a website?

How do people finder hookers these days? I know of high mileage strip clubs in the LA area, where anything is available in the VIP, though I don't frequent them. Beyond that, the era of the street hooker was killed off by the internet. Now, it seems the era of the internet hooker is disappearing. Is demand really dying out? Perhaps men find it easier and cheaper to watch internet porn for free?

I miss the era of the street hooker, like neon signs, they were a romantic part of the nighttime urban landscape. There's just not the same mystique to the urban night anymore like int he 70s and 80s. :(

Where did this happen? Still up here. Different country but would appear to be not a corporate thing.

Yes, it's an American issue. The US gov't is blaming Backpage for human trafficking around the world, so they have been finding new and questionable ways to get them shut down.

Not sure if 'blaming' Backpage is correct. They do offer a service which traffickers and pimps can take advantage of.

Prostitution is the oldest trade. I have no moral issues with a women selling sexual services. It's her body and no different, morals aside, than working as a manual labourer. But many times brutal pimps and traffickers take advantage of women and force them into the sex trade.

The answer is a liberalization of prostitution laws and harsh sentences for pimps and traffickers. Not unlike marijuana laws. Make personal use legal and take the business out of the hands of criminals.

What about Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act?

You know, for a few dollars more, you might be able to convince an amateur to give you the gfe and have a good meal, too.

It's winter, so emphasize the meal part.

As my contribution to the struggle, I will give safe harbour in Canada for up to 4 really hot, young American female prostitutes.

PM me.

In Canada, Craigslist & Backpage both have full Adult sections.

I didn't realize those companies' home countries ban such things.

That's crazy.

This is awful news for AJ...his "daughter" was going to turn legal this upcoming summer. This will cut her earnings potential down tremendously. :(

Maybe Trump can help, he's all about removin' regulations.

I've never even heard of Backpage until now. Sorta like Craigslist it looks like.

Just like Craigslist. When Craigslist started it was a great place for motorcycles and parts. Apparently the escort section soon dominated. After a while I found it to be one of the largest sections. I believe after a couple of escorts from Craigslist got murdered they closed it down

And it seems theeroticreview.com is having issues today as well. A friend of mine - no really! - has been unable to access the site today.
