Backlog...Venz dem new scripz?

Hola! Hey! Just wondering if anyone knows when the new scripts are supposed to be up and running. Seems as if the backlog is continuing... Hate to bother L&M.... Okay, I have already. But in case they don't have the time, has anyone heard anything on the backlog situation?
And, BTW: Anyone remember the ad slogan for L&M cigs from the 60's?

I doubt that was the jingle that aired on TV, but that was the way my friends all sang it.

As many of you know, we have been throwing all of our effort into switching over to the new system. It's a huge task, and I won't bore you with describing all that has to be done before we can make the switch, except to say that 4,000+ stories, several hundred poems, and a few thousand author/member profiles must be moved. This must all be done by hand, as there is no accurate way to simply "dump" the old pages with the stories/poems/profiles into the new database.

I've already described the new setup - rather than repeat myself yet again I encourage you to search through my posts to find my explanation. This new system will eventually involve ALL submissions, including pics. It will eventually eliminate the backlog by eliminating a lot of the busywork involved in posting a submission. For now, we will only be using it with the stories and poems so that we can troubleshoot before we add the pics.

We're testing them LIVE right now! If you go to the "New Stories" page, it is now the new version of the site. Assuming that our server doesn't explode, this should allow us to get caught up on the backlog and post stories much much faster than before. This weekend will be a big test of the new system, so cross your fingers and let's hope everything works!

I thought the new stories looked like the new script might look. I tried to check out this thread because I had a notice that Laurel had replied but I found the access to the discussion boards not working for a while.

It has a nice clean look.

The only negative thing I see right now is the access to the codes is not in it's usual spot. I was wondering what the little box with the H by a story meant and can't seem to figure it out. DUH me has blonde moments so it could be me not looking good enough! In threads I think it means more than ten posts but I don't know how that would work on stories. Might it mean 100 or 1000 or 100,000 or something totally different. Don't Know yet! I'll try and use the new story's page a lot today to give it a good test! hehehe (As I didn't do that anyway!!) It looks like there are a lot of new stories, more than the old postings. I now wonder how long before the stories I submitted under the new script posting will post? Golly gee willikers are me excited!!

Checking out new stories is such HARD work!!! hehehe
