Yes, had technical difficulties, but not wanting to renig on my promise to writers of my editing, I went out and bought a new laptop. Still getting used to it and have to reload programs, so I ask those writers to PLEASE be understanding and patient. It really sucks converting over to a new PC, but at least I have the financial means to rectify the situation quickly. Yes, the benefits of living in a rotting box and not buying a fancy house and cars.

I can still go back and reload stories from the websites you emailed them from, never deleted them, thankfully... anyone know how to change Explorer from offline to online? The help is, surprisingly, NO HELP! And I have Carbonite so all the docs and pics and music can be restored as I sleep, if all is well and good, if all works as advertised.. Been using Google browser instead, not OFFLINE.

Apologies for any delays. I have made this financial sacrifice "only" because of the writers I edit,. Oh, and a sweet feature, keys light up, can type away with the lights off, lol.

Hey, saw Machete, great fun. Bloody, heads literally rolling, but in a fun way. A few scenes were disturbing to me (Don Johnson's character killing a pregnant woman so she wouldn't give birth on U.S. soil and have an 'anchor baby'(), but loved the T & A (tits and action, lol). Even Jessica Alba (grasping dick and heart) had a nude scene, but not enough to see (sigh).

'Nuff said.

I bought a new laptop earlier this year and love it. Nothing to it but personalizing it. Of course, I don't have pics or music on my computers, so that cuts out a lot of trouble. My work is saved on CD/flash drive so that's simple too. But I'm computer illiterate. I need simple. :D

Went cheap on my last laptop, figured what did I need but to write? Well, cheap also means, I guess, maybe not always, but problematic. Although it lasted, oh, three years or so, maybe the average life of one. Upgraded this time, not sure I'll ever actually make use of the 6 gigs of ram, certainly won't come close to filling up a 640 gig hard drive, but I won't be running out of system resources either. Just in case.

Ya know, the internet was created so that anyone with any kind of puter could go online during a major disaster...and communicate with anyone else. The internet wuz to be like the Interstate System...if you got feet or skates you too can use the Interstate in an emergency.

But somewhere along the way Microsoft captured the industry, and now everyone dances to Bill Gates' tune. Conzerkwintly he changes the operating system every few years, and all of the major software packages, like OFFICE.

Cars and refrigerators and everything else ever invented (guns) are pretty much the same as when they were invented. But not puter stuff.

Old people are weird. I filled up like three hundred gigabites of porn on my new computer in about a week.

Yeah, I USED to do that. I remember when I had an Atari ST, about came in my shorts when I bought, for the modest price of about $500, a 20-meg hard drive. Holy crap, 20-meg! Fugured I could go a lifetime and not fill that up.

But then again, I remember, fondly, to jamming out to music on 8-track tapes. Yeah, and I don't know how to text or tweet, so when I drive I actually focus on the road, lol.

Times change, and I keep getting older. Finding it harder to write stories that the younger crowd can understand. Oh well.

I'll agree to disagree. It was (basing this on the History channel) that the colonies were losing the war until frontiersmen, with "long-guns", killed off the officers of the Birits.

Just saying that guns made rhe difference then.

But, yeah, we're all victims of the "primary" power. Fork it over, lol
