My Friday is actually amazing! I found out two days ago from one of the tuba guys that two of my favorite bands (Disturbed and Flyleaf) are coming to UMass in November. Tickets went on sale today and I say by a computer, refreshing the screen at noon until they were available. I managed to get a floor seat, so if I get there early enough, I should be able to get really close, I hope!

They're not local bands, but don't worry. Disturbed is a metal group that recently did a cover of Genesis's "Land of Confusion". Flyleaf is a band that I didn't know about till last month. I don't know how mainstream they are, but they have a female vocalist and she has awesome chops. She can scream and sing.
