I've had chronic lower back pains for decades now and they seem to be getting worse as I age. So far I've endured them and take viagra, [which seems to either dull the pains or you just forget about them]..........................until the next day when you're lower back is stressed out from the previous night's activities.
Just wondering how others deal with back [and neck] pains.
Still horny @ 70 yrs.

Not me personally, but...

My wife. 5 years of; chronic pain, sciatica, gyno issues and associated stress/depression.

The collection have completely ruined her sex drive and ability.

She's been on EVERY medicine that the UK (NHS) will provide, ranging from;

Tramadol, gabapentin, oramorph, oxynorm, zopiclone, paracetamol, ibuprofen, codeine, cocodamol, antidepressants of various types that "help with pain". Even steroid injections into her spine, nerve treatments, gels, and even hormone level pills.

In general nothing works, or if it does it's brief.

There's been a few odd combinations that result in her becoming pain free and horny. But her drug tolerance is sky high.

Zopiclone (sleeping pill), full strength tramadol on max dose, ibuprofen, and oramorph. Then a large scotch. She was still in pain and couldn't lay down, nights of no sleep. However, the side effect was that the combination made her highly relaxed, a bit spaced, and VERY sensitive.

Thus, a back rub for pain resulted in her being wetter than I can ever remember, fucking like a whore, and having orgasm's I've never seen her have.

In my case, Viagra sets off several unpleasant side-effects that require medicating, in addition to whatever I'm taking for my back. I'm not at all comfortable with this pharmacological witch's brew, so unless the sex holds great promise, I pass.

I’m a chronic pain sufferer for over 20 years now. Finally had enough side-symptoms appear that I sought a diagnosis in case anything other than too many NSAIDs would help. Fibromyalgia in my case. I’m on max dosage of Cymbalta; started in half that and was extremely difficult to tolerate at first but definitely DOES help me. It does make me tired though...

Before the Cymbalta I didn’t get much sleep, and even when I slept I wasn’t resting. A few trials and errors but now I’m on trazodone for sleep. My sleep isn’t consistent and the pattern is haywire but it averages out WEEKLY pretty much evenly.

I’m also a licensed massage therapist, myself. Regular massage, once or twice a week, does help me. But a massage once in a while usually just makes it worse. My husband is an EMT and for a while I had him working on me; wasn’t like a professional but did help me function. Look for a therapist who does “body work” - there are stretches we can help a person do to help specifically with sciatica.
