Good afternoon all,

Re-posting a personals ad that was something of a success, if a shortlived one, a month or two ago. Let's see how we go this time...

I realise I've probably done my chances considerable damage with my lack of posts over the four years since I became a member. I'm mostly active via PM, browsing the writer's personals threads and contacting those I have something in common with.

As you've probably guessed however, that approach isn't working too well just now. Time for a different approach: the personal ad.

My name's Lucia and I'm a 25 year old girl from London. I hope you're all having a wonderfully naughty time enjoying the forums.

Down to business, now. Essentially what I'm after is a creative, detailed, lively and intelligent roleplay via instant messenger (Yahoo! and MSN preferred) with a fellow Brit. Unfortunately in my experience time differences make things that little bit too difficult, particular as I'm looking for fairly regular contact (2x per week, ideally).

Can I just take a moment to emphasise that I am interested in British people, living in Britain, only.
*** BRITS ONLY PLEASE***

Apologies to those for whom it was clear, I don't wish to treat you all like idiots (only those among you who need it!!)

In terms of roleplay itself, I'm open to both males and females. My ideal scenarios would involve slow build up and the creation of an interesting and stimulating storyline, with some character development. Sex can occur, and usually does, but it cannot be the sole purpose of roleplaying. I want to create a story, not a porno!

If any of this ticks any boxes for you please do let me know, either by replying to this thread or via PM.

Thanks very much for your time, and congratulations if you're still reading! I hope to hear from many of you very soon!

Best wishes,

Lucia :rose:

Interesting...

I find I am more successful in finding writing and roleplay partners when I focus on their creativity, intelligence, and most importantly, their kindness, rather than their time zone. These qualities are what I look for. These qualities are what make someone worth talking to. Location is simply irrelevant.

I have friends, dear friends I have met right here on lit, who live in England, Serbia, Ireland, California, and Australia. Do you realize how challenging it can be to talk to someone in Australia? It is a 14 hour time difference from where I live, but I make the effort, because I enjoy talking to them. We have shared amazing roleplays via IM. I would hate to have missed the opportunity to meet them simply because of geography. The beauty of lit is that you can meet people from around the world.

I have friends, close friends, who have shared so much with me. Writing partners who have opened my mind, given me confidence, and shared a part of themselves me which they don't even share with their friends or family...and you are worried about time zones?

Get over yourself!

I agree with every word you said. Especially the Australia bit. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and I IM with an Aussie at least 10 times a week. If someone is the right fit, time and space don't matter,

Thanks for your interest,

I certainly didn't intend for this post to cause any problems/offence. Unfortunately, a busy work life means that I'm quite restricted in the times I can chat each day and so it's very difficult for me to accommodate time differences. I can only apologise and wish you all the best in finding someone more flexible. The last thing I would want to do is begin roleplaying with someone only to find I can't sustain it for any length of time because it requires playing at awkward hours.

The reality of the situation for me is, like for most people, real life comes first. I apologise again if I have offended anyone.

Best wishes,

Lucia :rose:
