After mentioning something to cantdog about Lit saving every post, I went into my profile and selected the 'Search all posts by this user' to go on a nostalgic trip back into the early days of my posting. Names such as WhisperSecret, RayDario, KarmaDog and Quint litter the threads, as well as a couple who are still around (No prizes for guessing Weird Harold as one of them). Such silly newbie posts, talking pompously about things that I didn't understand properly. You can see the kid shining through and it's incredible just how much I've changed in 2 years, thanks partly to you guys.
My first ever post (aside from my brief dip under my other n-d-p):
If you want any help, then I'm available, but usually if you bring another cook in, they tend to dilute the broth and move away from your original vision.

Sorry, pointless and self-indulgent post, but I felt like sharing.

Tatelou said:What a very cool and apparently insanely random first post (out of context it looks that way, anyway).
I just did a search back and found my first post, which was the start of my first thread, introducing myself. I remember bursting in through the door and announcing my arrival. I never was one to do anything quietly, but I did come across as much more squeaky clean back then than I really am.
New bitch here, care to try out your new welcome letter?
Lou![]()

I think that says something about the people here... it really is a big disfunctional family.![]()
rhinoguy said:luckily THAT welcome was on MY behalf....NOT on behalf of EVERYONE.
some took offense in blanket welcomes.
I was just lucky to be there to welcome you...and at that time was somewhat more naive in my fantasies.

Hey Tatelou. Good theory on how to refer to Sven. The last time I called Sven Sven she besieged me with Harry Potter quotes. However I did warn Sven that I would call her Sven if Sven patronised me about my age again.
There you go. Some nice fireworks for your first thread. Welcome to Lit. Please wipe your feet and wipe the feet of the person to your left. Remember to tip your moderators.
