Bacardi Gold

Was recounting this thread to a friend. She said she was at a cheap department store, and a little girl was saying; " that's my name, and that's my name, and over there is my name..."

The name?

Clinique.

My mother went to school with three sisters, Rose, Myrtle and Olive. Their surname was Branch.

I went to school with Teresa Green

We have kids on our books called Peanut and Chlamydia

When I was going through school to become Equal Opportunity qualified, the course was taught by a 6'6" black guy named J. Blackman.

Went to high school with a little short guy named Manly Roach

I met CPT Krunche in Bosnia

I worked with a man named MAJ (Major) Dent

We have a guy at work who speaks with a lisp and his last name is Gwekoh (sound it out)

And I met a Sergeant (SGT) whose last name was Major, making him Sergeant Major

My friend used to tell stories of a guy in the Navy with the unfortunate name of Swallows. For his entire enlistment he was "Seaman Swallows"

In Intel school one of the instructors was a MAJ Warr who used to begin each class saying, "I'm MAJ Warr. And I'll bet you never thought you'd see one of those again."

At a cat show (never go to cat shows! those people make dog show people look sensible) where one of the owners had given their two year old the first name of Sergeant. His middle name was Major!

I once worked in an office with a Miss White, a Miss Black and a Miss Brown.

Miss White wasn't.

Miss Black wasn't.

Miss Brown was.

I went to school with a student called Ivanovitch Voychovsky. That was the anglicised and shortened version of his full Russian name.

One of my fairly distant relations was a registrar for births, deaths and marriages. She didn't normally discuss her work but sometimes she would start spluttering about parents who wanted to name their baby with all the names of their favourite football team. She used to try to get the parents to reconsider if it was a girl baby.

She was unsuccessful with parents whose surname was Shehe (pronounced She-He) who called their baby "Pinkie". Pinkie was a boy.

Og

I went to school with a boy surnamed Pitt who was called John after his paternal grandfather and Cecil after his maternal grandfather.

Inevitably we called him Cec.:)
