Babysitting for dummies (J_silver+TinyT)

Melody was hoping to be left alone at home while her parents where a way for a business trip. she liked being alone, but also the freedom of having friends around when she wanted. "We have asked Joshua from across the street to check in on you Mel" her Mum annonced
"What!! I don't need baby sitting!" I pouted whilst shouting and stamping my feet - not realising how much of a child I looked doing that.
"He will be round before we go - He is a nice lad so you behave young lady, otherwise I will have your aunt come and stay" Mum replied - "Now go and tidy yourself and look nice"
I stomped off upstairs like a sulky child

(Yep Wales in the UK)

Standing on the step the last thing Melody wanted to do was smile, she was cross at not been taken as a serious adult, however this good looking guy was being introduced to her and he was worth a smile. Melody patiently waited for his parents to show up when the penny dropped that Josh was the 'baby sitter'. Suddenly this didn't look so bad "Er Hey Josh!" I sort of blurted out "Do you want to check the house out or something?" I thought I had better try and be at least a little friendly

Melody took Josh into the kitchen "Have a seat - well a stool" she said motioning towards the breakfast bar. She now felt confused, yes she was annoyed at being 'baby sat' when she felt old enough to sort her own life out, but now this lush guy had walked in, not some old crusty gardener that she had imagined. "Sorry for having a face like I'd been sucking lemons" Melody said shyly "I was well pissed off with not being left on my own, I will try to be nice - I er um ..... well ... I thought Joshua was the man who lives over there" she pointed to a house with pretty gardens and lots of veg growing "Do you know the guy who often pushes a wheelbarrow down to the waste ground?" She giggled at the thought

"damm!" I said seriously "And I thought you were going to ground me, beat me, lock me in my room and tell if I don't behave!" I then laughed and waited not sure for a moment if Josh thought I was actualy being serious

Josh smiled and rolled his eyes, grinned, and took a seat on the middle stool. He leaned his elbows onto the countertop and relaxed there. "Is there anything you'd like to do while your parents are gone?"

my eyes lit up as I realised this could be a nice, fun few days - "I love adventures and exploring!" I said and suddenly thought how un-cool and childish my answer might sound, but as much as I tried could not think of a sophisticated, adult answer so I asked "What about you?" then in a flash of stupid inspiration added "we could play Mummies and Daddies and have a tea party!" delibratly said in the girliest voice I could find

"We moved here 2 years ago, my Dads got a job in the computer industry, I lived in a tiny village in Wales before so this was a shock for me - oh my parents aren't being rude - we said good bye just before you came and I made them promise not to embarrass me in front of the 'Baby sitter'" - I suddenly realised how British I must have sounded, even though I now had a local (ish) accent, "Right a tea party consists of lots of cakes maybe sandwiches and of course tea!"

"Cakes and sandwiches sound delicious, but is there any way i could drink coffee instead of tea?" Josh didn't want to ask too much, but he'd never been able to down tea very well. It never tasted good to him.

"He he - no worries - but I bet you haven't tasted good tea - no one here knows how to make it - its always made too cold - taste mine in a bit and you'll see" I wanted to find out more about Josh so I asked "3 questions, have you a girl friend?"

"ok bread is in that cupboard and things to go in it are in the fridge" I happily got busy "Question 2 - is there anything we are not allowed to talk about?

Melody went beetroot red when Josh said "not alowed to talk about?" he had no idea where her mind was going. "Errr, mmm er can we talk about anything anything - like is any subject taboo - oh I'm not doing too good am I" Melody felt hot and embarrassed "can we talk about the s word?" she stammered to a confused Josh

"Yes" she said shyly "I know that the stuff in school is hyped, Mum gets dead serious and sort of want to talk about it in a normal conversation if it sort of comes up - rather than say 'thex' in a whispered voice - or thexual inthercourse" she finished in a mimic voice and relaxing now it was out

"What does it feel like - it sounds kinda wierd to me - but I like kissing - I er have a girl friend and haven't been with a guy at all - and I guess if you have a girl friend that makes you a safe person to ask .... I er ... think so anyway" she nervously laughed a bit as Josh's eyes went as big as saucers

"I've rubbed on the outside and had an orgasm - and er Laura showed me that in the school shower - it was er pretty mental - but thats about it" Melody says having gone red again
