Tough call. We have a baby monitor set up so we can hear what is going on in the nursery. Babies cry though. Hard to pinpoint if it constitutes an emergency or not. Not really sure what you are exactly after in your post. Good luck though buddy.

Yes, you're wrong. The baby is crying for some reason .....and you don't know what that reason is until you stop fucking and go check on him/her. The baby could be seriously ill. The baby could be crying because some horrible man broke into the house and is try to kidnap him/her.

Oh, but no, you should go ahead and be selfish like you're probably been all of your life. Selfishness is a good thing, practice it often.

LOL, we have that book. We don't read it to little bit though. She gets 3-5 stories every night and most nights hubby falls asleep before she does. Fortunately I am a night owl and I will wake him after she's well and truly asleep. Of course she's almost 6 now.

If you're being serious Indian you know the answer to your questions and nothing anyone here says makes one whit of difference to what you feel. If your looking for approval to leave a baby to cry from fright, loneliness, hunger, discomfort, etc. so that you may have your own pleasures I wonder why you bothered to have the baby in the 1st place.

Making a child that you resent for interrupting your pleasures/life is a sad sad thing, for you and the child.

One thing to spoon in a rocker as I suggested below - but that scenario is BEFORE the baby is crying.

Mom's are hardwired - baby cries - or begins to sound like it might, they take care of baby.

Your task is to be inventive, see if you can work in a bit of lovin' while both mom and baby are relaxed and mellow.
